About this house rental
Let your mind wander and spend relaxing days in our holiday home in Dornum. The historic moated castle and the Beningaburg invite you to explore like the post mill and the historically grown market place.
Our holiday home is located on a plot of approx. 1000 square meters and offers you and your children an ideal playground and tobogganing area. Garden furniture and parasols are available for sun worshipers. The garage driveway has space for 2 vehicles. There is a spa center in Dornum where cures are possible. Dornum is 5 km from Dornumersiel and 20 km from Norden Norddeich. From there you can drive to Norderney every hour, from other locations you can reach various East Frisian islands. Bicycle rental is also in Dornum. There is an inhalation house in Dornumersiel. There are also many interesting things to discover.
The property is divided as follows: Ground floor: hall, separate small kitchen with washing machine, living room with sofa and LCD TV, satellite TV, dining room, 1 single room, bathroom and toilet.
Upper floor: 2 double rooms, 1 twin room
Dogs are allowed.
The beach is 5 km away. Bikes, also motorized, can be rented in Dornum. As a self-catering supermarket and small shops are nearby. And if you don't want to cook - use the large and small restaurants in town. Other options: the giant slide on the beach, North Sea fishing trips, mudflat hikes, trips to the islands, the seal lift station in Norddeich and bird watching in the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, trips to Worpswede and Emden (Henri Nannen Art Museum)

Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub, Übergaben haben problemlos geklappt, toller großer Garten, alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Ein sehr entspannter Urlaub. An den Strand in Neßmersiel und Dornumersiel ist man mit dem Auto innerhalb kurzer Zeit gelangt.

Positiv zu erwähnen ist auf jeden Fall der Kontakt zur Besitzerin und zur Verwalterin.Zum Mietobjekt: Auf jeden Fall ein Haus in guter Lage mit einem tollen Garten. Kritikpunkte sind leider der Teppichboden im Obergeschoss ( sehr Allergiker unfreundlich) und die Matratzen die unbedingt erneuert werden müssten. Ansonsten ist die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen und sehr zusammen gewürfelt.Das fanden wir aber nicht ganz so dramatisch, da es ja kein Sternehotel ist und man sich im Ferienhaus ja nicht viel aufhält.Im großen und ganzen haben wir uns wohlgefühlt können aber wegen der Allergieprobleme leider nicht wiederkommen.Trotzdem vielen Dank für eine schöne Woche.

Das Haus ist für mehrere Personen super
Das gute an dem Haus ist wenn man mit älteren Menschen reist brauchen sie nicht die Treppe hoch sondern haben unten die Möglichkeit zu schlafen.

Wir waren zwei Erwachsene mit 4 Kindern im Alter von 10 Monaten - 7 Jahre. Das ein altes Haus knarrt insbesondere die Treppe ist uns klar,aber Haare vom Vorgänger auf allen Matratzen, Staub und Dreck hinter den Betten, Risse in den Wänden und lieblos gestaltete Räume haben wir nicht erwartet. Also wer Ostalgie mag,ist hier genau richtig.
Aber nun auch was positives: Dornum ist reizvoll und sehenswert. Es gibt mehrere Tankstellen und Supermärkte direkt um die Ecke. Die Heizung machte es uns schön warm und in der Küche haben wir alles gefunden,was wir brauchten.
Zusammengefasst: es war eine Erfahrung,aber wir werden nicht wiederkommen.
