About this cottage rental
Perched on a bluff, overlooking the Inland Sea of Lake Champlain, "Island View" cottage is east facing with a 180 degree view north to Canada and south to the Green Mountains. Stairs lead to a shale beach with private dock. Great water for swimming, fishing and boating.
You'll love staying at our cottage! Island View has an open
floor plan, 2 bedrooms with a queen in one and 2 twins in the other. Altogether, the cottage sleeps four comfortably. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and french doors that open onto a screened porch facing the lake. Plenty of windows for those lake breezes, fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom with tile shower, washer/dryer, municipal water. Lovely, private outside shower, wifi, Smart TV, outdoor grill and picnic table overlooking the spacious lawn, gardens and children's play area. Our cottage is equipped with a heat pump which provides both heat and air conditioning. We also have a level 2 EV charger, available upon request.
The cottage is two miles to the center of North Hero where you will find two excellent restaurants and the amazing Hero's Welcome General Store, local Farmer's Markets, galleries and craft shops. This is the perfect area for biking, kayaking, fishing and just kicking back. 40 minutes to Burlington and 60 minutes to Montreal and Stowe.

The perfect house for 2-4 people. Beautiful setting right on the lake. Enjoyed the screened in porch for enjoying the evenings and watching fireflies. The house has everything you need and is very clean and well maintained. Mary is a very good host and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be booking again next time we are out in Vermont!

We were very impressed with everything about the cottage. It was extremely clean and well organized with everything we needed. The porches were fantastic for relaxing after dark without the bugs. The hosts were very accommodating and left many tips for things to do in the area. We had a great stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here at Island View cottage. The location was off the beaten path which we liked. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. The property is well cared for and there are steps going down to the lake. Unfortunately, we weren't able to swim since it rained most of our stay---but this gives us an excuse to go back! Getting back to inside the cottage, we were very happy with the well appointed kitchen, the shower pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. The couch was comfortable too. Mary and John, the owners are the nicest people and are very knowledgeable about the area. They live on the premises and were quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. We definitely want to come back next year!
