We were for the third time in Emmetten at Rene Lusmann's apartment in the summertime, a comfortable apartment, clean and well-arranged, provided to the smallest detail of our needs. Klewenalp and Stockhütte are picturesque places for unforgettable family promenades. We were able to see, too, a lot of views of the Lake of Lucerne, which is one of the most beautiful places of the world. We were impressed with Rene's warm attitude as well as with all the people in the village. We will never forget this summer holiday in Switzerland!

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Rene's very clean and tidy apartment in Emmetten. The weather was perfect which allowed us to use the tennis court and go for long walks around the area. Lucerne is only 30 minutes away by car, an easy drive into the city center which we did twice. The roads around the area are narrow and there are some lovely drives providing outstanding views of Lake Lucerne. There a few cable cars nearby and a parasailing business offering tourist rides. We enjoyed watching the many parasailers every day flying over the apartment. What is not shown in the pictures is the wall to wall windows in the living room and bedroom making the apartment very bright. The patio is huge and we had dinner outside every night. The kitchen is small but functional and the room divider shelves provide lots of storage. The washer and dryer are in the basement and easy to use if needed. There is a small grocery store across the parking lot for necessary items, however there is a large Co-Op and Migros in Buochs, only 5 minutes away. Rene was very responsive both before and during our time in Emmetten and we highly recommend staying at his apartment. Thank you for everything Rene, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. Emmetten is a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area. We bought a five day pass, which allows you to travel by any mode of transport within that time. This includes train, bus, boat and cable car. Although expensive ( about £185 per person), it's definitely worth doing if you plan on getting out and about. We'd hired a car from Basle airport, but didn't need it all once we got to Emmetten. Swiss transport is a joy to use. So punctual and clean. There is a bus stop just across the road from the apartment, which allows you to get to Beckenried just down the hill and Luzern. It takes about 45 mins to get to Luzern by bus and train (station at Stans). The day we went, we got the boat back from Luzern to Beckenried. Luzern is beautiful and well worth a visit. In addition to visiting Luzern, we went up Titlis, a very high mountain of approximately 3000m in height. A revolving gondola takes you on the final ascent to the top, where there are spectacular views. It is very busy here though, with an abundance of tourists. Burgenstock, is worthy of a visit too. Spectacular views with lots of surrounding views. Not as touristy as Titlis. Rigi, too, is another high mountain to visit. A mountain train takes you to the top. Again, this is quite busy with plenty of tourists. The aforementioned 5 day pass, gets you up all these peaks, with nothing else to pay, unless you want to buy food at the top. The apartment itself was perfect for our needs. If I was to criticise anything, it would be just to say that it was slightly under-equipped. There was no frying pan, for example, nor a long, sharp cutting knife. Also no beer glasses. Other than that, the apartment was very clean with perfect wifi and lovely shower room. Oh, one other thing was that we had trouble using the communal washing machine. You need a special sort of key to slot into an electrical box in the wash room. We didn't have one to start with, so a Swiss lady kindly lent me hers. The owner did bring us the key the next day, but it didn't seem to work and again we had to borrow a neighbour's key. All rubbish must be put in a red bag for disposal. We only got one bag and it was a challenge to cram everything into it for the week. The apartment is right next to a cable car and from there's out can explore the alpine pastures. There is a small supermarket across from the apartment, which was adequate for our needs. Expensive though, but then most things are in Switzerland Fab country though

All family enjoyed our summer holiday in Emmetten. People are polite, lift cabines are very near closed to the appartment, a lot of picturesque views to the lake, for sure we want to be every our holiday at the same place in Switzerland. Thanks to Rene and his kind people! Milena and Blago

The apartment was perfect for us, 2 adults and 1 child. We had plenty of space to feel like we were at home, everything was clean and well kept and we took advantage of having a kitchen as we have a young child so didn't want to go out for meals in the evening. The swimming pool downstairs was a great advantage too as a back up incase the weather was bad. Fortunately for us the weather was mostly beautiful and allowed us to explore the local area and beyond. Situated right next to a cable car up the mountain where there are lots of walks (we were there in May so no snow but stunning views and lovely walks). The owners were quick to answer any questions we had and we would definitely recommend staying there, particularly, if like us, you want to get away from tourist crowds. We loved it!

This apartment worked out well for our trip to Switzerland. Even though it only has one bedroom it worked for our family of 4. The master bedroom is large and has plenty of closet space to hang your clothes. Our children were able to sleep in the living area as the bed has two separate mattresses. The dining area had plenty of room for us to sit at the table and eat any meals we prepared at the apartment. Although we did not use the spacious patio, if the weather had been a little warmer we would have used the grill and had an American BBQ. The pool and sauna were a nice feature that we used one rainy afternoon after we came back from a long hike. We were also thankful for the washer and dryer as we packed lightly. Pros: Very clean apartment, large master bedroom, kitchen, pool and sauna, large patio, indoor parking, beautiful setting, grocery store nearby, information center nearby, laundry facility on-site, hiking trails nearby.

We spent a splendid summer time in Emmeten apartment. The location description in HomeAway was quite accurate. The property was well maintained and cleaned. Large terrace, spacy bathroom and cosy kitchen. We liked the restaurants nearby, church bell and fresh air. For sure, we do recommend to all our friends the place in Emmeten.

As a holiday apartment this is an excellent place to stay. Very clean and spacious with a lovely large balcony. We had 12 nights here in June and if we were to come back to this area we would book this again. We made good use of the almost exclusive pool downstairs and the shower in the apartment bathroom is fantastic. A first class transport system starts with a regular bus service just a minute walk away which takes you to the lake within 10 minutes and there is a small supermarket right on the doorstep. If anything, I would suggest that the pillows are replaced and a small welcome pack (milk, bread, tea, coffee etc) is made available if guests are arriving when the shops are closed, but overall a great place to stay. Herr and Frau Lussman are very friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Die schöne Ferienwohnung ist top gelegen. Direkt neben der Gondelbahn und dem Volg-Laden. Das Hallenbad im Haus war auch ideal, da das Wetter leider nicht so mitspielte.

The apartment was wonderful and the owners were responsive, helpful and kind. The location tip: The apartment has an excellent location. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this apartment. Ideally situated, the apartment is close to ski resort and just next to the ski gondola. A supermarket, a post office and public transport is less than two minute walk so travel in the city and to areas surrounding is made easy. The apartment tip: We are a 5 membered family(Mum, Dad ; this apartment was very suitable for us. it was very comfortable, very clean and well organized, it had cooking equipment, a stereo player, coffee machine, towels and bed sheets. The kitchen was well provisioned with kitchenware. It had a really big terrace that the kids enjoyed playing in equipped with table, chairs and big grill. We stayed over during a cold snap in February and the apartment was very well heated. Free WIFI was provided as well as some basic supplies (i.e. salt, pepper, coffee, paper towels, soap…). The apartment amenities: The property has a car parking slot in a large garage, in the ground floor of the building there is a nice free indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and tennis court. The apartment owners: To top all of that, Lussmann family is such a wonderful family. They are very helpful, very nice, very friendly, very kind, very honest and always smiley. Thanks a lot Lussmann family for your great hospitality and patience. To cut the story short, whoever is looking for great times, great hospitality, a place to relax, a place to have some real adventures, then for sure Lussmann’s apartment is the perfect choice for it's truly a great place. I would definitely book this apartment again and highly recommend it.

This place is a must stay! My family and I had the best time staying here! We loved the swimming pool and sauna. The apartment was spotless and beautiful. We would definitely stay here next time we visit Switzerland.

Aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen auf dieser Seite hatten wir uns für diese Wohnung entschieden und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt und modern eingerichtet. Schwimmbad, Sauna, Fitnessraum und Tennisplatz haben wir ausgiebig genutzt. Direkt vor Ort befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt, eine Bushaltestelle und die Talstationen von zwei Bergbahnen. Mit dem Tellpass ist man flexibel in der Zentralschweiz unterwegs (Bus, Zug, Schiff, Bergbahnen). Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

This is a well maintained, newly updated, nicely decorated apartment with luxurious amenities. The grocery store, bus stop, post office and ATM are conveniently within short walking distance. The owners are accommodating and will fix problems as quickly as possible. The bus ride from the apartment's location goes through one of the most scenic routes overlooking lake Lucerne. If I have to choose between staying in the city or staying in this quaint little cute town, I would choose this place again. It is quintessential Switzerland.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der schönen Gegend und in der gepflegten Wohnung sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Der große Balkon und die bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten sind besonders zu erwähnen. Sehr modernes Bad, Tiefgaragenplatz und Hallenbadnutzung runden das Ganze ab. Vermieter sehr nett, flexibel und jederzeit erreichbar.

Con mio marito ho appena trascorso due settimane in questo appartamento spazioso pulito ben posizionato arredato con gusto fedele alle foto in internet. In cucina c’è tutto ciò che serve ed anche di più. Il divano comodo come quello di casa. Il bagno ha una doccia eccezionale. Il letto molto buono con materasso matrimoniale e la biancheria di buona qualità. Ci siamo goduti il grande e soleggiato terrazzo arredato con tavolo sedie salotto e lettini prendisole. Inoltre la comodità del parcheggio privato sotterraneo con accesso diretto con ascensore al piano. Non posso dire nulla della piscina sauna e palestra perché noi non ne abbiamo usufruito in quanto essendo il tempo molto bello abbiamo preferito stare all’aperto. Nel palazzo di fronte c’è un negozio di alimentari fornito. Emmetten è un piccolo e tranquillo paese di montagna a 20 minuti da Lucerna ed a un’ora da Zurigo ed essendo posizionato vicino all’ingresso autostradale comodo per qualsiasi destinazione inoltre in questa zona vi sono punti panoramici fantastici. Il signor Rene è stato molto gentile accogliente e preciso. Se avete in programma una vacanza in questa zona questo è sicuramente un appartamento da scegliere!
