spacious 1-room apartment (65 sqm) with kitchen, separate bathroom with shower

We very much enjoyed our stay in Horw. The apartment was spacious and well stocked. The view of Mount Pilatus from the patio is wonderful.

Wonderful home overlooking valley and mountains. Very quiet safe area. Spacious rooms. You will need a car or very strong legs to tackle the road up each day.

The owner. Angelika, is the ultimate host. The view of Mount Pilatus from the front patio is breathtaking. Only a 10 or 15 minute drive to the center of Luzern.

First I have to mention that the apartment we ended up staying in was very nice, but I feel the bathroom and kitchen were smaller than the apartment we had originally booked. Our stay was for May 3-7, 2018. I made my original request for booking last year on April 23, 2017. It was approved by the owner and I made my first deposit via PayPal on June 13, 2017, almost 11 months prior to arrival. I kept the owner appraised of the status of our trip during the intervening time. On February 4, 2018, 3 months prior to arrival, the owner informed me that we would not be staying in her apartment but that of her neighbor because she had double-booked her apartment. She assured me that the neighbor's apartment was similar to and as nice as hers. I accepted this arrangement since I had already made the deposit and we were so close to traveling. I coordinated our arrival time (between 4 and 5 pm) with the original owner and she assured me that someone would be there to greet us at the aggreed upon time. Although she told me the name of the owner of the secondary apartment where we would be staying, she did not provide her address or number so I assumed that the original owner would be there to meet and greet us. When we arrived, the owner was not around. We waited a bit then decided to go to the store to pick up provisions and returned within the agreed upon time period. The owner was still not present. I rang a couple of other doorbells and found someone who knew the owner and offered to call her. She did and the owner told her to have us ring the bell for a particular apartment. That turned out to be the neighbor, Beatrice, who's vacation rental we would be staying in. Beatrice was exceptionally welcoming and made us feel right at home, even giving us some ice cubes to get us started on our evening cocktail. Beatrice checked on us one time and then properly left us to do our touring. She was always available for questions. The apartment was very nice, but I do feel that the bathroom was smaller because of the tub and that the kitchen was much small and less-well equipped. I think it was unfair of the original owner to have double-booked this property after we had made a deposit. The fact that she was not around to greet us and relied on us to start knocking on doors was unsettling and we felt as though she had forgotten us. This has been my first negative experience with HomeAway but it will not prevent me from booking future vacation rentals. Thank you

My third time to stay in this apartment, very quiet location in a hillside neighborhood, with nice walking path close by and an easy walk to the lake side. It is possible to get there by bus but there is a significant walk uphill, so best to go there with a car. The city of Luzern is an easy, short drive away, but there are restaurants and stores within walking distance of the apartment. The owner lives next door and is very nice and helpful.

Angelika's apartment was perfect for us, although we stayed only 3 nights, we were able to easily visit Lucerne as well as take the trip up Mt Pilatus. Everything about the apartment was as described, and it was very comfortable and spacious for two people. Communication with Angelika was easy, and we enjoyed our stay in her beautiful apartment. Excelente ubicacion,5 minutos al lago,rodeada de hermosos caminos,con lindas vistas.a las montañas,en especial la panoramica vista al Monte Pilatus. Cerca de la estacion de bus , y de tren, a la maravillosa ciudad de Lucerna tan solo a 15 minutos. Angelica ,la dueña,es muy amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. El apartamento es amplio, limpio y con todo lo necesario y mas. Lo recomiendo

This apartment was great! It looked just like the pictures and very clean and well-maintained. The patio was very nice for having a glass of wine in the evening and the view is great! It is just a short walk to the bus stop down the hill and then a 15 or 20-minute bus ride to the main train station in Lucerne. From there it is a very short walk to Old Town Lucerne, the wooden bridges and the Lion Monument. Because the return walk to the apt. is up a steep hill, it would be tough for carrying groceries or anything very heavy. The bus stop is close to grocery stores, post office, ATM machine and some restaurants. We went up Mt. Pilatus one day via boat, cog train and train-fantastic views! We really enjoyed the Lion Monument and the wooden bridges as well.

The location of this holiday apartment is ideal for travelling throughout Switzerland, close to the main motorway through the country and in an idyllic setting with stunning views of the Mount Pilatus, at the side of Lake Lucerne. The property is well presented and the owner has made it very homely, just about every need has been catered for. Anything extra we required, it was stressed to just ask. We arrived in a torrential downpour and it wasn't immediately clear where the property was as it's out of sight once you've parked. Although initially daunting, we soon found that we didn't need to navigate the steps with our luggage, but could easily go up the side access road. Once inside the property, we were surpirsed at how roomy it is and amenities. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, which made it easy to prepare our own meals and not to eat out all the time. The apartment is exactly as the photos, it was also lovely to have an outside seating area where we could relax after a days sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. We visited Gringelwald where we took a train upto Kleine Scheidegg, to see the famous North Face of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. The Bahnof Restaurant at Kleine Scheidegg served fantastic food too! We also visited Melchsee Frutt - ideal for walkers, when it's clear it gives awesome views of Mount Titlis in Engleberg (have previously been up Titlis - also recommend it, amazing). The beautiful town of Luzern is also very easy to travel to via local no 20 bus or the train. I'd recommend a trip to Glasi Hergiswil to see tradition glass blowing in action. We also visited Wirzweli - not so well known, but well worth a trip to the top of Gummenalp where fantastic food is served. Ms Haberstroh made the whole booking experience very easy.

Eine sehr schöne Wohnung für zwei Personen; sehr gut ausgestattet, mit traumhaftem Blick auf den Pilatus. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Ohne eigenen Pkw allerdings nur bedingt zu empfehlen; die letzten 350 m von der Bushaltestelle (ca. 12 Gehminuten entfernt) geht es steil bergauf!

Sehr freundliche und authentische Gastgeberin mit vielen Tipps für die wunderschöne Umgebung.

Un endroit charmant avec magnifique vue sur le Pilatus. Un bel endroit pour visiter le lac des Quatre-Cantons. Bel appartement confortable, cuisine très bien agencée, bonne literie. Hôte très gentille et serviable.

Schöne, saubere Wohnung, beste Lage mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Hausberg Pilatus, ein paar Gehminuten und man ist am See, tolle Gastgeberin -- rundum gelungen und immer wieder gerne! Bis zum nächsten Mal :)

Een prachtige vakantiewoning voor 2 personen. Een rustige ligging met een mooi uitzicht. De woning is stijlvol ingericht met een zeer volledige keuken. Een overvloed aan servies, bestek en allerlei keukenbenodigdheden. De eigenaresse is zeer attent en behulpzaam

Schöne Ferienwohnung, Erwartungen wurden übertroffen durch ein Sofa und einen schönen Esstisch der noch nicht auf den Bildern vorhanden war. Auch den gemütlichen Garten-Sitzplatz haben wir sehr genossen. Die Vermieterin und ihr Partner sind sehr freundlich und bei Problemen sofort hilfsbereit. Ein Platz für unsere Fahrräder wurde uns auch angeboten. Sogar das private Kanu durften wir benutzen. Die Ferienwohnung ist auch an guter Lage, wenige Minuten zu Fuss zum See, auch Luzern ist sehr nah und in der Nähe gibt es unzählige Möglichkeiten für Wanderungen oder Fahrradtouren. Können diese Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen!

Appartamento veramente spazioso, pulitissimo e ben arredato. Non manca nulla e la proprietaria è molto gentile e disponibile. Molto adatto anche per famiglie con bambini. Posizione comoda e tranquilla. A pochi minuti dall'entrata autostradale e dal centro commerciale. Si possono fare belle passeggiate senza usare l'auto. Non si potrebbe stare meglio.

Alles bestens, aufmerksame Vermieterin, sehr zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich. Für uns war alles perfekt.

Die Lage der Wohnung gefällt einfach, da man schnell nach Luzern kommen kann. Außerdem kann man die Region um den Vierwaldstätter See gut erkunden. Angenehm ist auch der äußerst freundliche Kontakt zur Vermieterin selbst.

Unser Arpartment war sehr geräumig und besonders die Küche super gut ausgestattet.Frau Haberstroh ist eine nette Gastgeberin.Die Lage ist wünderschön.Darüber hinaus, ist Luzern eine sehenswerte Stadt.Wir werden Frau Haberstroh auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Grüße Chris und Jani

Ein gemütliches Appartement, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Herrliche Lage, mit wunderschönem Blick von der Terrasse. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet, hat eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit einemTresen sowie bequeme Fernsehsessel und einen durch einen Raumteiler abgetrennten Schlafbereich. Eine Schlafcouch steht zusätzlich zur Verfügung. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und kundenorientiert und kümmert sich, sofern etwas fehlen oder nicht funktionieren sollte, sehr schnell darum. Die Parkplätze sind wenige Meter von der Wohnung enfernt und man hat einen schönen Blick auf die Berge. Fazit: eine sehr schöne Wohnung, nette Vermieterin und ein für schweizer Verhältnisse sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet Küche,V'lan , TV ,sehr ruhig mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Frau Haberstroh ist eine angenehme und freundliche Gastgeberin. Jederzeit wieder. 😎
