Jembrana might not be the most luxurious homestay but its staff makes up completely for that.
They are deeply into social community support and I love them for how much good they do.
Then: the beds are perfect,
They are working on improvement at a steady rate,
From the homestay you walk straight into the ocean,
The food is good and
The atmosphere is great!

The garden is lovely and the Homestay backs on to the beach. The food cooked on the premises was delicious, and the rooms had good AC.
Booking.com incorrectly advertised that there would be a tv and a washing machine in our room. Our room was basic but comfortable.

Lovely and tucked away from all the traffic . Non touristy place right in the middle of the nature. It is as authentic Indonesian as you can get . In my opinion The accommodation seats somewhere between upgraded clamping and rooms to let. The atmosphere is great , the food was great (homely cooked) and the family running the business were great. If you are looking for a five star accommodation then it’s not for you. But if you are looking for simplicity, authenticity and and something very different then look no further.
Toilet/shower room can do a bit of touching up.

Exceeded my expectations. The bungalows are beautifully handcrafted, you feel like you’re sleeping in a work of art. Meals are tasty and cooked to order. The beach is right there and the sea is comfortable for swimming.
I selected this site to experience the Jembrana Water Buffalo race. It certainly is something to see but we didn’t stay long, the provider driver waited for us so that was easy.
Later they provided us a short ride to the turtle sanctuary where we had a delicious meal and then we enjoyed a 3 km stroll back on the beach, watching locals also enjoying the beach in a variety of ways and admiring the colorful fishing boats. Just beyond the home stay is a temple on the beach.
Jenny is very accommodating, helpful, and a good communicator.
As with any Bali beach, there’s plenty of rubbish to collect. Jenny was nice enough to provide us big bags for this purpose.

Great location in a pretty quiet region of Bali...not a great deal of options nearby but they do nice food in house which makes life easy.. highlight was having a beer at the beach side area of the resort and watching the local farmers take their buffaloes for a swim in the surf in the afternoon.....
Not a complaint but a suggestion, the rooms could do with a few more power outlets... and perhaps a refresh in the not too distant future...

Very enjoyable stay at Jembrana Bali Homestay. My room is in the middle of a very beautiful garden with a comfortable bed. Very pleasant with the friendly staff and warm welcome from them. Rinto picked us up from the airport, he is a very friendly driver. Jenny helped us a lot by planning the trip which was very helpful for us, because this was our first trip in Bali. I will come back again with my family, I am very sure.

A very beautiful and natural beachfront accommodation. Clean and comfortable rooms, we rested comfortably after a long, tiring driving trip. I felt very welcome with the warmth of the staff who were very homey. Jenny, the manager, was so friendly and homey. She gave some suggestions of good places to visit. very helpful because it was our first time in Bali. Rinto took us to some good places. He was a good and homey driver. I highly recommend this homestay. First time to West Bali. The first homestay we stayed at. Really comfortable, clean and beautiful. Beautiful beach with traditional fishing activities and watching buffaloes bathing on the beach. Very beautiful! The staff are very friendly and very helpful to us. Jenny the manager welcomed us very warmly. We really enjoyed our dinner at their restaurant. Very delicious!

I absolutely give 10 out of 10 to Jenny and Rinto being the best hosts they made my holiday to Bali amazing. I had great communication with Ronto before my trip and he helped me to plan everything I was very excited to see west Bali. My highlights are many but the most exciting was the buffalo racing seeing these huge creatures dressed up was incredible, I also loved the boats in the harbour again unique and incredible and me and Jenny even got invited on. The turtle sanctuary too amazing. Jenny is a pillar in her community and wants to help everyone a beautiful soul she took me to visit the children at the orphanage she supports it was so positive they are being taught skills and business and they were so beautiful - please if you can help support a child 😀🙏. I love the location watching the buffalo trainer next door bathing his Bufalo and there are plenty of beautiful fishing boats. This is the REAL Bali for those who love to explore and I really think it’s great to see now before it gets touristy. Also the rooms were very comfortable and clean 😀 the food I had was tasty.

The outside was nice, and was near the beach (the only good part of this awful place).
This has been the worst accommodation experience of my life. We had to leave at 11 PM and urgently find another hotel because the conditions were absolutely unacceptable — and I want to be clear: this is not an exaggeration. We are used to staying in humble hostels and simple guesthouses, but this was something else entirely.
The toilet was dirty with visible urine stains, the bathroom smelled awful, and the glass divider in the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The ceiling was full of mold, and the room had a strong, unpleasant odor.
After leaving our clothes in the room for just one hour, we found small larvae crawling on them. Several pieces of clothing were badly stained or bleached by something in the room — we still don’t know what it was, but it permanently damaged our clothes.
We felt completely unsafe and uncomfortable, and we still can’t understand how this place has any good reviews. It was stressful, disgusting, and deeply disappointing. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone.

There is something special about this place. It's no frills; decent a/c, bug zapper in the room, free water but the vibe is just right - especially for anyone looking to get out of a place like Canggu/Kuta/Seminyak. The hotel is right on the beach and very close to some of the best seafood you're gonna get in Bali. There is a GREAT budget option for anyone looking for some peace and quiet. Also, there is a really cool temple right on the edge of the property where it meets the beach. I had a great meditation session there.
Nothing - I just could imagine what this place would look like with some proper TLC. It could be incredible.

The only regret is that I stayed here only 2 nights. The bungalow was beautiful, spotless clean, in a lush tropical garden literally by the beach. I also took a few meals here and I had such delicious food: Ida the cook is just amazing, I think she has a real gift. Last but not least, the place is managed by Jenny and Rinto that are so nice and helpful, they'll make your stay just perfect. I'd definitely go back if I had the chance.
It's not at a walking distance from Perancak but Jenny and Rinto arranged for someone to take me there.

We stayed on the eve of Nyepi. Being located next to the Muslim quarter we were able to continue with food access at the restaurant but remained restricted to the home stay. Staff very pleasant and on arrival they quickly arranged for Jenny to drive us to the Turtle Sanctuary. Upon return there was a huge downpour and a leak in our room was quickly remedied by moving us to a dry adjacent room. A good response under the circumstances. Access to the beach is pleasant as well.

Great location absolute beachfront. Fishing boats on the beach are fascinating- be sure to watch the launching and bringing back in!! Food good. Host very friendly. Interesting area to explore. Buffalo runs on the beach! Breakfast provided was good. Other meals available in open air restaurant area were good.
Room a little musty, bed slightly damp- difficult to be perfect this close to the sea! Lound and incessant calls to prayer were a surprise!

I had an early dinner when I arrived and it was delicious. The staff were also very kind. The rooms were just as pictured. There was a small shop nearby to get some snacks.
The main reason I booked this location was because it was on the beach and the reviews/map made it seem like it was very close to "downtown". The beach was covered in litter, both natural litter such as washed-up wood and also plastic bottles everywhere. It would have been nearly impossible to reach the ocean comforably.
The biggest issues for me besides that were safety and noise. As a woman traveling alone, I need to know that I have a safe place to sleep. I struggled with the lock for quite some time. Only one of the workers was able to get it to lock. That's scary. The second was the noise. Sitting in my room, I could hear everyone talking as if they were in the room with me. As I was told that some of the other guests like to stay up late drinking, I would not have been able to sleep.

An absolutely fantastic place to stay. Situated on the beach and at the same time in the forest, under the shade of the trees. Amazing hospitality, delicious food and the great company of the hosts and other travellers. We enjoyed staying there so much... Thank you guys, for making this place so special!

For me, Jembrana Bali Homestay was like a piece of heaven on earth. The location is so tranquil, having miles of beach virtually to yourself. Watching fishermen set off for the night, then come back in the morning with their catch; watching waterbuffalo being led into the sea to wake in the waves. Even buffalo racing on my final evening.
But most of all, the staff team at Jembranabalihomestay: Jenny, Ida (culinary wizard), Kadek, Rishma & Colin (aka DJ Colin). The most hospitable people I have met, not only do they look after you amazingly well, but they are happy to sit and chat with guests so that you leave with a better understanding of Balinese life & culture. Jenny and Kadek took us on trips and advised us of other places to visit and places to eat. Jenny also took me to the orphanage she volunteers at to assist her with English lessons.
Then there are the crafts that Jenny and Ida are so adept at, macramè and bracelet making. They are more than happy to teach you and should be selling their wares, IMO.
This wasn't just a homestay it felt like home. I left a bit of my heart in Jembranabalihomestay and will be back 💜
There was nothing I didn't like. However, I can understand why it isn't right for everyone. Read the reviews thoroughly, and if it doesn't sound like your thing, then don't go! As for people complaining about the Mosque, after my first night, it didn't disturb my sleep, everyone has the right to prayers be they Muslim, Hindu, Christian or any of the hundreds of other faiths around the world. Tolerance and respect are all that are needed.

The staff were amazing: friendly, attentive. They went out of their way to find me some gamelan music in the area and I was most impressed with the music and with the fact that they'd gone to such trouble. The room was comfortable if a little dark for my liking. The whole atmosphere of the place is quietly exotic and calming with a long tree-lined lane with cabins off to either side and the sea at the end. On the beach the fishing-boats are worth seeing, and also the walk back through the village to see what Lonely Planet calls the secret creek, with fishing boats tied up alongside was a highlight.
Good places to stay are far and few in the area and there's little to do. The sea might be good for surfing - I wouldn't know - but the beach is very flat with the water a long way off so I wasn't tempted to swim.

Our host was lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast was good. The beach was wonderful except for a bit of plastic rubbish. It was great to see all the fishing boats and watch them fishing. There was no tourism there, just the locals living their lives.
The lighting in the room wasn't very good.

A beautiful piece of paradise in Negara, 20min by scooter from the city center and directly on the beach. The bungalows are located amidst lush garden and they are really spacious. Beds are super comfy and depending on the bungalow you stay at, you might even hear the waves. The staff was very friendly and also organised a scooter for me. Incredible value for money if you plan to stay in Negara!

Very familial and friendly homestay, we enjoyed our stay. We rented a scooter to discover the neighbourhood (waterfalls, turtle rescue station, beaches). They also offer tasty dinner and helped us find a driver to our next stay.

Staff are by far the key point of this place. They were so great and generous. It is a must stop if you are looking for accomodation in Negara. Direct access to the beach, we strongly recommend this place. Jenny and Happy buddha (hosts) were among the most fun people we have met in Indonesia.
