Another great place for a great review.

Right at the end of beach road so no traffic in the vicinity. Comfortable bed in quaint hut. My daughter could escape my snoring in the mezzanine bed. Owners/hosts are absolutely fantastic. Breakfasts were better than you will get in many of the upmarket hotels. Have to repeat others comments about Rafi's homemade bread that came with breakfast - we took a loaf onward with our travels.

Not spending more time as surf wasn't cooperating that week.

Rafi and Brad’s generosity, attention to detail, and genuine kindness created an atmosphere of tranquility and joy that we will carry with us forever. Great stay

The location on the beach was exactly where we wanted to be. Rafi was a perfect host and looked after us especially her delicious sourdough. Restaurants are very close by and good value for dinner and lunch.

What a great place. Raffie and her staff went above and beyond what you would expect, nothing we asked was to much of a problem. Its a quiet place with all the amenities in the area, much less touristy than most on the west coast.

We had a great stay at Sunsets at Sumbul. Great location right across from the beach, cheap but outstanding restaurants nearby (Nal's kitchen) along with an awesome coffee shop (best coffee I had in Bali) at nearby surf shop. Rafi made the best Nasi Goreng we had in Bali for breakfast. Great selection of breakfast options. Hosts were outstanding and so helpful.

Stopover between Pemuteran and Sanur.

Rafi and Brad are welcoming hosts, friendly and interesting. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The beach is across the road. We walked south to Bombora Hotel at Medewi for glorious sunset view and watched the surfers at the point. Back along the beach to the night market for dinner under the lights in the bean bags on the grass. Lovely atmosphere on a warm evening. Morning surfers were across the road..

The only downside was the wet room bathroom. The slope drained towards the vanity. Perhaps a drainage grill across the width of the room would fix this.

Medewi is a paradise! Rafi and Brad are super friendly and caring. The breakfast is amazing with freshly pressed juice every day!! The apartements are located just few meters from the Beach and its really quite there. I definitely had the best stay of my bali trip here!

Lovely quiet surf location, great value.

Great hosts, a fantastic piece of surf coast not overrun by noisy crowds. The breakfasts were plentiful. The fruit bowl being the best on our 2 week round Bali travels. Accommodation very comfortable, lovely balcony for evening ocean viewing. Plenty of kitchen crockery etc to get you by and a good size fridge. Lovely beach, exceptionally cheap and good quality local food and coffee shop nearby. Medewi beach five minutes away giving more choice for going out.

Nothing really, stairs up to bedroom would be a little steep for elderly guests.

I liked Indonesian breakfast. Fruit to start the day. Perfect! Most of all: I liked the very friendly & helpful owners Rafi & Brad. As well as their staff. Unfortunately we had only two days in West Bali. Will be back next month.

Excellent Rustic Duplex Beachfront

Our bungalow is unique. Mrs Rafi, the owner is so attentive and treated us like family. We slept with the sound of waves in the background. Even though the place is already 4 years old but we felt like it's brand new. She made the breakfast for us herself, we planned to check out right after bfast turned out quite late because we really enjoy her lovely house and hospitality. Excellent experience!

Amazing Place

Beautiful large room right on the water in a quiet fairly secluded little beach spot. The amazing owners were the friendliest most helpful couple and the enormous breakfast made fresh every morning kept me going most of the day. The area is quiet, but there are some great restaurants nearby. The pool is a nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon. About a mile or two down the beach is a beautiful temple on the water that’s really worth checking out if you like a good walk. It’s a really beautiful place to spend a few days getting away from it all.

Clean, new rooms with kind and generous host

We loved the hut/room. It was new and very clean. The towels and sheets were new, super clean and smelt fresh. The room was tastefully built/decorated. The surrounding area is very peaceful-- mostly nature (the ocean, rice fields, cows). Rafi is incredibly accommodating, super friendly, generous, and simply made the stay more enjoyable. She went out her way to make sure we were comfortable and things were easy for us. She was lovely and kind. Having one close restaurant with good food/cheap food (Nal's Kitchen) was also a bonus. If we ever visit this area again, we will definitely stay with Rafi at Sunsets at Sumbul.

This has nothing to do with the accommodation, but just a word of warning... if you are not going to surf, there is not much else to do in Submul and Medewi. The beaches are not really set up for sunbathing/swimming/relaxing by the water.
