Truly modern period B&B in an historical nook of Thames .

Lovely restored historical building in a little old world village type area with a park and walkway .Quiet and interesting . Could be in a period piece . Very amenable hosts .

Nothing . My room was booked but I was upgraded to a queen . For some people , not having the toilet and shower could be inconvenient .

From the friendly warm welcome, the interesting history of the building, the large bedroom, great choice of pillows, comfortable bed, very clean bathroom rooms, the small personal touches, great hospitality to the delicious cooked breakfast. What is there not to like. You have to experience it.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay at Lady Bowen B&B. I received a warm welcome from the host as I arrived, as well as a drink. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of blankets and pillows. There are common areas downstairs with a pool table, games, a TV, etc.

I highly recommend this accommodation - clean, friendly, great breakfast.

I really appreciated the welcome by Stu, who greeted me after a long drive in the dark. He offered to give me some history of the hotel before I settled in for the night. The next morning after a very quiet and comfortable night's sleep, a beautiful breakfast awaited me and Barbara helped me out by answering some travel questions. I definitely recommend this accommodation and I plan to use this hotel again.

Lovely stay

Would highly recommend! The couple hosting were absolutely wonderful, we were given a tour of the house and told about the history, the outdoor area is very cute and Breakfast was exceptional. The room was comfy, big enough for what we needed, Will definitely stay again next time we are in town, Thank you!! :)

Would highly recommend this lovely period and very reasonably priced hotel.

Wonderful old property, with a very colourful history. The owner, Stu, was very welcoming and gave us a tour & rundown of the place. In the very large & beautiful lounge is a pool table, which we made use of. Breakfast was very good & made by Stu.

The best B&B you‘ll ever find. Barbara and Stu are so nice, they tell you all about the history of the building and show you around the house, so you know where to find everything. They offer a welcome drink on the house and also prepare a very lovely breakfast. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. In total the house has a modern but still very classy touch. Enjoy the beautiful garden or the loving room to read a book or just relax. The beds are very cozy, too. For me the best experience on accommodation in NZ!
