The place to stay if you are in this small town.

The location was very central and in the heart of the small town. It even comes with a restaurant that also doubles as a place for check-ins after working hours. Regardless, all the staff was very helpful and friendly. The pantry was also well stocked with lots of teas & coffees... You'd need that since it's a small town and there's nothing much to do after dark.

There are no staff to handle issues after working hours. And since I was there on a weekend, I had no one to attend to my plumbing issue. The toilet sink stopper was tightly sealed and hence the water level kept rising as I used it for my personal hygiene purposes.

Overall, good stay.

The room was good and though good value for money. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

TV never worked and had to chase up staff to sort out and felt that they tried to avoid otherwise, even though this was part of the service. Only 1 person really and felt he let his whole team down, which was otherwise fantastic.

The shower seat needs attention as I couldn't get the legs down, and I received a spider bite so room needs spraying And I left a note for staff to suggest a 1L plastic jug that fits in the hand basin ,as the kettle didn't fit under. the tap, other than that, all was just great

Rooms were well equipped and good tea facilities

A bit dirty around the edges. We booked two rooms so would have appreciated the connecting rooms however one room was noisy due to the chiller hum. Only one room had aircon on when we arrived and the other was boiling.

Great staff are important!

Very helpful front desk person, friendly restaurant staff, big hot spa bath with complimentary salts, even though it wasn't working properly. Coffee machine is a great touch.

We booked the hotel room specifically for the spa bath so a little disappointed that it wasn't jetting. But because of this the reception person was very kind and gave us some extra bath salts, and some treats, which was very appreciated. I hope that the owner knows what a great job she does.

Certainly was a good start of my 9-day holiday in North Island in NZ!

Like the shops nearby - Liqor, convenience, eateries within walking distance. Love the unique lift in the hotel. Palm trees gives me the summer feeling. Enjoyed my stay. Liked that you put in dining recommendations in your neighbourhood, in the room. Enjoyed breakfast at Chez Bean (we had an early breakfast at 7.30am on a Sunday). Thanks!

Wonderful Hospitality

My husband and I, and elderly mother inlaw, traveled to Tuakau for a funeral. We booked a night in the Tuakau hotel with interconnecting rooms. It was raining that day. The receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. She grabbed an umbrella and showed us to our rooms. We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious rooms and bathrooms. I must say, you can see pride is taken from the cleanliness of the carpark and throughout the hotel, for it feels loved and inviting. We enjoyed our meals from the hotel restaurant. Customer service from the barstaff through to the restaurant was warm and welcoming with some friendly sense of humor, which made us feel comfortable. Although we experienced a glitch in one of our rooms, the staff, especially the manager, were prompt friendly and professional in resolving the matter. The comfortable beds and helpful staff made our sleep that a bit more relaxing. In our opinion, the Tuakau Hotel is more than value for money. It's a place of wonderful hospitality that we will definitely recommend to our friends and family oxox

Perfect room 4, perfect staff , we’ll be back !!

We love the hotel room with Spa bath and balcony . It was a great location. There are plenty of places to visit nearby . I used the local supermarket and cafe. I hope to eat at the Tuakau hotel next time. I will happily stay there again when I come to NZ as I have family in the area.

Very handy location. Staff quickly resolved an issue for me and went over and above with the solution. I moved rooms. Nice atmosphere in room. Nice bathrooms. Convenient parking. Lift was cute but took the stairs.

I had a meal which was ordinary, fish and chips. Wasn't great. Will try something else next time. Restaurant not really cozy for someone traveling alone. Very nice lemon, lime and bitters.

Tuakau Hotel could do better to clean the units. I did leave this feedback with reception.

Location was perfect as we book in to the Tuakau Hotel to attend family or marae events. The hotel is Tuakau and close to food conveniences.

The room was not cleaned to the standard that we have been use to during previous stays. The floor appeared to not have been vacummed, the skirtings were dusty as we noticed this because our boys played with their cars and puzzles on the floor, he WIFI connection to the TV did not work, the heat pump was not in working order.

Perfect accommodation

All the comforts and more that you want to have when away from home. This place is like a second home to me as it's always my 1st place I will look at booking to stay at before trying anywhere else. The reception staff are exceptional, the rooms are spacious and awesome. The hotel is so central. It's perfect

Didn't like much.

For an early check in there was a $20.00 fee. Hotels used to do this as a courtesy. Now they fleece you for any extra that they do. The room was smaller than a hallway closet. The check in clerk was flippant and not helpful.

Tuakau is the hidden gem of South Auckland entering the Waikato region

Beautifully appointed, good parking, comfortable beds, lovely staff and friendly bar and restaurant staff too. Food in the restaurant is great. Rooms are really spacious.

Wifi connection has a tendency to be quite weak and drop out a lot.

Tuakau Hotel is the best

Tuakau Hotel provides great service and really comfortable rooms. Super comfortable beds, great showers and Sky TV. Plenty of parking onsite that isn't an additional charge. Convenient to shops, laundromats, takeaways and cafes, these are all within walking distance. Downstairs you'll find a great bar and restaurant. Everything you need for your short or long term stay is all right there. Super convenient and centrally located.
