It was so close to the main attractions. It was really big and had everything you could want. The owner was so helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

Boat no Breakfast was comfortable and clean and spacious. With really thought out features making for a great and enjoyable stay. It was in a nice quiet neighbourhood with an easy walk to a variety of transit options. Opposite there is a lovely local bar and a short walk a cafe and record store that we went to most days. Ruud welcomed us with nuts and fruit which was lovely.

However, I am afraid I will not be staying at Boat no Breakfast again and I am hesitant to recommend it. This property asks for a €200 cash security deposit, we did not bring cash and so Ruud took the payment on card. He did not explain that the costs of this would be passed on to us, nor is it written down in the listing at all if a card payment is chosen. This cost us approximately €7 in fees, I have never had a deposit taken this way ever on any property I have booked through booking.com. This is something set totally independently by the owner and if your home currency isn't in Euros then the guest are at a loss either way. I am not sure what Ruud expected us to do with €200 in cash on the day that we are leaving Amsterdam! If your home currency is Euros and this deposit method doesn't bother you then this is a fine place to stay. However, if you don't want to be charged at least €7 or left with €200 in cash at the end of your stay I would stay somewhere else.
