Beautifully maintained and upgraded with awesome amenities.Ruud was great and very accommodating.

The location was perfect. Within walking distance to the Anne Frank Museum and the Children's Science Museum not to mention, lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. The accommodations were top notch - like walking into a hotel suite with the added benefit of a kitchen. Thoughtful touches like being able to store luggage in drawers made for that purpose that kept clutter out of the way. Big windows overlooked the water and we enjoyed watching other boats quietly pass by (all seem to be electric). Saw duck family paddle by our window and fish leap in the canal. Experienced a part of Amsterdam in comfort that we would not have in any hotel room or even a rental apartment.

Need to be agile to manage the stairs into the boat which wasn't a problem for my family.

Such a unique experience that we will have lasting memories of! Ruud is a very welcoming host and his property is beautifully thought out and in the most amazing location. Comfortable, clean, spacious and with many mod cons that make it a truly memorable stay. Walking distance to cafes, shops and restaurants and very close and easily accessible to Amsterdam centraal train station.

The location was excellent. Easy walk to the Red light district, the Dam Square, The Jaardan neighborhood, central station, and even to the cruise pier. Many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We loved the experience of the canal boat. All details were thought out for the comfort of the guest. The bedding was super comfy, best German feather pillows! However, If you have any mobility issues it may be a challenge to maneuver the circular stairs from the land down to the dock. We found going down backwards/sideways while using the hand holds easy enough for these two old broads. The locking gate was a nice bonus, making us feel safe and secure. The owner lives in the second half of the canal boat so if anything was needed he was available.
