A really quirky and fun property in a great location. It was lovely to enjoy a drink on deck, watching the boats go by.

The location is the only thing I appreciated about this property.

The boat & furnishings itself doesn't really look like the pictures anymore. The key to the entry doesn't have any flotation device (it easily could drop into the canal when you enter the boat & you wont be able to get in!!). The staircase from the entry to downstairs is very steep (not unusual for Amsterdam but there is no real banister to hold. The bathroom was very hard to use for my 80 year old father - he had to stand sideways to pee. The furnishings are minimal (a small sofa, 1 chair as the only sort of semi comfortable seats), in bad shape (worn, tattered, worn out or broken), there was mold in the bathroom, bathroom mirror was old, there was a jagged screw sticking up on one of the exterior doors that caught clothing, there were cracks in walls, broken decorative objects shoved into a corner, gross looking fur to sit on the uncomfortable hard wooden seat in the bow kitchen area (held there by clear tape! that was itself gross), mismatched, minimal old kitchen supplies - plates, cups etc. The towels that were left for us WERE GROSS - they were white at one point but were grey & thin - so much so that I went rummaging through the broken closet (where clean towels were shoved in w/ cleaning supplies, random equipment & a hoover (vacuum) to find cleaner ones. Frankly - the state of the towels made me ? the cleanliness of the bed linens but they were a dark & smelt clean. Whole place looks like it furnished with op (thrift) shop bits. It is really sad because for a few 100 euro (e.g. less than one night's profits from a guest) the owners could transform the spaces & make this place worthy of the price they charge - as it is - it feels like they don't care about guests & their feeling good while in the space. It was super disappointing for the price - even with the location. I would not recommend staying there!! There are better spaces with nice interiors in other locations with the similar views.
