Old Riga Town Hall apartment

in the old town and walking distance to everywhere

no elevator and 5th floor

The apartment has superb location, the hosts are very helpful and responsive, the place is spacious and well-equipped, very close to all the Old Town attractions. Staying in the center of the city made all the difference in being able to access attractions, as well as shopping (a minimart is around the corner, while a larger supermarket and the central market are within a 10-minute walk). Ability to part the car was definitely a plus.

Nice location in the middle of the old town. Very large apartment, with a comfortable living room, rooms and kitchen (well equipped), good wi-fi, nice furniture. Very nice facade (it is on the cover of the issue on Baltic countries of an Italian travel magazine), but it wasn't the real one. A lot of bars & restaurants in a few meters. With a more suitable bathroom and if it was on a lower floor, it would have been the perfect choice, 10 out of 10.

Fourth floor without lift, it is a problem with heavy luggage (but even without it;-)). Yes, the website informed that "upper floors accessible only by stairs", but information that the floor was the 4th was missing. Yes, the agency informed me by E-mail, but when I was already travelling to Riga, even if I wanted to, I could not have chosen another option. It would be preferable for the information to be clear in advance. As told, the facade is very nice, but the real entrance is on the back of the building, in a quite messy and not very clean yard (the back of many restaurants), with a full metal warehouse door. Very small bathroom (temperature of the shower variable and erratic) next to a 1 sqm cage with only the toilet bowl, definitively under standard for an otherwise high standard location. Late night music from the many bars and restaurants in the area (not a problem for the four of us, it's the price to pay for being close to restaurants,,,).
