Stylish 2BR in Old Town Gem

Great location for us edge of historic center in pedestrian zone, near parks (we didn't need car parking). Very (!) spacious rooms (large bathroom, large dine-in-kitchen, large living room, two bedrooms). I would not describe this place as stylish (apart from maybe the living room) - the decor and other things are a bit dated. But this makes no difference, everything was well-equipped and the shower was very nice! Only criticism was the towels and linens.

Persistent musty smell over several days - this came from two racks full of still-wet towels and bedding we found in closed-up walk-in closet next to large bedroom and not-quite-dry towels/bedding in wardrobe in smaller bedroom. Our towels and bedding also smelled very unpleasant. We mostly fixed this with about 6 loads of 60° laundry. This may have been a one-time problem, since I didn't see this mentioned in any previous reviews. If this problem is fixed, then no complaints! The building does have an unglamourous, narrow stairway up from a courtyard, which was no problem for us but may be a factor for others.

We had a problem with the entrance door when we arrived close to midnight, and it wouldn’t open. I contacted the host, and they answered immediately and arranged help right away. Luckily, someone came out of the building while we were waiting, so we managed to get inside before the staff arrived. It was very good and reassuring that the host was easy to reach when there was a problem. A little tip — the cocktail bar beside of the apartment is absolutely worth a visit. 😊

One thing to note is that the stairs are quite steep, so it may not be ideal for elderly guests. For us, it was not an issue.
