About this house rental

Charming country cottage in a beautiful quiet village in Dorset. There is plenty of entertaining space and also room to eat outside and sunbathe, and a hot tub to relax in. Good sized gardens at both the front and back of the house mean kids have room to enjoy themselves and there is also a trampoline and swings for the kids to play on. The house is situated in the heart of Cranborne Chase, the sixth largest area of outstanding natural beauty in the UK. There are 5 double bedrooms all with double beds, a wood burning fire in a large sitting room with a big table for dinners and entertaining. There is a conservatory for relaxing, large kitchen with an AGA and a Rangemaster. 2 bathrooms with bath and showers in both and a TV in the bath downstairs for the kids! There are 2 large bedrooms downstairs - one has a 4 poster bed and a 6ft very comfy bed. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are both doubles.There is a double bedroom up the winding stairs off the sitting room which would not be that suitable for young children. There are lots of things to do for couples and families and lots of good pubs nearby. It is 30 minutes from the beaches at both Bournemouth and Poole.

We have stayed at Brook House three times now and we enjoy it more each time. There's space for everyone (we were a group of 9) and there's plenty to keep us all entertained. The property is well maintained, clean and really comfy.

We had a great stay with our grown up children and grandchildren to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were shown all round the house and gardens and everything was explained to us. Our grandchildren loved all the toys in the playroom, it was brilliant. The hot tub was spacious and got the thumbs up from all of us. Great kitchen/dining area that all10 of us could comfortably sit in. The gardens were a delight and Wimborne St Giles was a beatiful place to walk round. Everything in the house was scrupulously clean and it was very well equipped. Thank you very much!

Great property in a beautiful location. Lots of sofas and outdoor seating. Well equipped kitchen. Two of our guests were 83 and 96 so occupied one of the downstairs bedrooms, near to a bathroom. A shower chair would have been helpful but we improvised and Allan (property manager) agreed that a shower chair would be a good addition. The gardens are beautiful. A very relaxing stay.

The house was so wonderful, it had everything we needed and more to keep us entertained for the weekend. The rooms are so big and well laid out. Everything said they slept the best they've had all year, it was like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen is so well equipped for our needs; the chefs of the group described it as a cooks dream and big table fitted us comfortable. Everything is so well looked after and none of us can thing of a negative for this beautiful home. We would highly recommend it and would love to book again – Thank you Allan for greeting us and showing us around.

The bridal party and family stayed here for the wedding this weekend. Beautifully appointed and equipped - we were 8 adults and 2 babies and various visitors on the big day such as the hair and make up ladies and the photographer - there was plenty of room! Lovely position, plenty of parking, beautiful gardens and of course the hot tub! Very comfortable beds and the property was lovely and clean. Would recommend whole heartedly.

We all had a lovely time staying here. Allan (Sams Dad) was lovely, communication was amazing and rooms set up perfectly for our toddlers. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!!

We have stayed at this property a couple of times now and it's just amazing. Old farmhouse style kitchen which is amazing for big family dinners, a log fire, a hot tub and so much space. Just the perfect friends and family get away.

We stayed as a group of friends over new year’s and it was such a lovely house to stay it. Perfect location, and big enough for everyone to have their own space. The living room and kitchen areas were great for eating together and games in the evenings, and plenty of walks in the area too.

Amazing lovely cottage which caters for adults and children. Amazing facilities and things to keep the kids occupied as well as a hot tub, and the essentials plus more in the kitchen. They don’t just have the basics so it’s really helpful. Plenty of space and has plenty of character. If I was being really picky it needed tweaking in areas but would 100% revisit.

I stayed at the property about 3 years ago with an adult only party. It continues to be well maintained and clean. Now has a child’s playroom which my granddaughters loved along with the hot tub for all. Lovely village location, but still close for many excursions. The church was holding a book fair which was a bonus.

We rented the property for a long weekend as we got married at St Giles House that weekend. The property was the ideal base for us over the weekend - it has all of the things you need and is comfortable and clean. We would certainly be interested in staying again in the future. The location is also great - quiet and secluded with access to the lovely Dorset countryside.

Amazing house and gardens! So much to entertain all our age groups. Very comfy beds and we just loved the Hot Tub! Would definitely recommend and just perfect for having quality time with family or friends. Thank you Sam!
