Lovely Finnish log cabin with amazing Forest views, superbly located next to Ringwood Forest with direct forest access.

In 2023 the property had a complete make-over - the new spacious layout is designed for 10 persons with a cosy in-door living for those cold wet months, with a Scandinavian Wood-Burning Stove at the centre of the open plan area.

The property is ideal for 2 families, with 3 newly renovated bathrooms, and ample living space. The modern kitchen has a 10 person dining table and opens to the outdoor terrace dining and hot tub through French Doors.

The unique feature is the landscaped lawn, trees & mature garden, which is gated, fenced and private to the cottage. The property backs on to Ringwood Forest with miles and miles of walks and cycling areas, including the Castleman Trailways and Moors Valley Country Park.

The location is also conveniently close to the A338/A31 for easy access to both the New Forest (10 mins), Bournemouth Beach (15 mins), and multiple Dorset/Hampshire pubs and restaurants

all was fabulous, we loved our stay....only 1 sugfestion would be perhaps a new mattress in the upstairs attic double. but the cabin was really wonderful hot tub great with lovley view and seemed to keep lovely and hot and clean, unlike some others we have used.had everything we needed and we really loved the unique sauna in the bunker...the hosts were also fantastic and we loved reading about some of their family history.

We had a beautiful week at Karelia, the lodge was fantastic! Clean, very well equipped for the size of the group, perfect location in Ringwood forest with around 8 amazing play areas within an 25 minute walk. Timo was a great host. We would definitely book again! Only point I’d make if I was being picky would be the double bed in loft isn’t suitable for adults as it’s a tight squeeze to get in and out but for children it would be fine and the hot tub lid was hard to take on & off.

We had a great weekend staying at Karelia. The house has great communal space for a large group, particularly the dining area. The kitchen and bathrooms are very high spec and incredibly clean which was great. We enjoyed the garden and the hot tub. Would highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you for having us

We were a family with 8 adults and 2 children in the 5 bedrooms. This property is more suited to 2 family’s each with children. Two of the bedrooms were definitely not suited for adults. One of the bedrooms only had child size beds. Apart from the bedrooms we loved everything

The property was lovely.we had a problem with the shower.the owner fixed it within minutes. When we arrived there was a dishwasher full of dirty dishes.and empty sweet papers in a draw. The bunk bed and the bed near the roof was so hot we slept on the sofas. It would of been nice to have a welcome hamper with local items .as other places we’ve stayed in have. Also some games .cards.or books. The hot tub was lovely.and the area is beautiful.

The luxurious cabin had everything we wanted for 6 adults and 3 infants. Bedrooms well appointed, although we hadn't realised the mezzanine bedroom was above the one with 2 singles. The bunk bedroom worked well for my son, wife and 3 year old, as he was adjoining their bedroom and so felt secure. Nice to have 2 ensuite bathrooms as well as the third bathroom. Large open living space with well appointed kitchen. Pleasant wooded garden with hot tub and BBQ. Great to be able to walk straight out of the garden and into Ringwood Forest and as far as country park with dogs.

Absolutely lovely stay at Karelia cabin near Ringwood. The cabin is just lovely. Better than in the photos. Great open plan lounge/dining/kitchen. Comfortable & warm (log burner in centre of room is particularly nice). Really well finished with 3 new bathrooms (all with well sized walk-in showers), kitchen is also newly fitted & the back deck has a hot tub. It is dog friendly. We will certainly be visiting again. We are two families made up of two adults and one child and two adults and four children. The layout of the property was perfect for our group with all bedrooms just off the main lounge area. We spent 4 days at Karelia and would recommend for anyone looking for a well located, well appointed holiday let. The hot tun was a real feature, for both adults and children. It is a wonderful social space and a short wander into the forest.

We had an amazing christmas in Karelia, decorated with a big christmas tree and fairy lights. Cooking christmas dinner was a breeze in the fully equiped kitchen. Lots of fridge space and a nice size freezer. Log burner and the hot tub made our stay extra special. Walks for as long as you want from the garden directly into the forest. Plenty of parking right by the front door which was great for unloading presents, food and bottles of fizzy etc. Thank you to Timo and Steven. We had such a lovely Christmas xx

Wow , what a great stay we had ! The cosy well equipped cabin met all our needs,and was set out perfectly for the 5 adults , 2 children and a dog. Set in a lovely setting , peaceful and tranquil and a great walk nearby . The hot tub was a great hit with all . We went to Moor Valley country park which was only a short distance away . We went as a family of six to drop our Niece off at Southampton University. It was the most perfect place for a relaxing family break and the dogs loved it too! It is in a quiet spot perfectly located near to Southampton and Bournemouth with the stunning New Forest on our door step. After a lovely walk, a dip in the hot tub followed by a glass of wine in front of the log burner was the perfect end to a perfect day...we would highly recommend.

The charming lodge Karelia provides an excellent surrounding for family gatherings. Lots of space inside, a modern and well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. Outside a nice garden with lots of space for kids to play and a good working hot tub. And close to a beautiful forest where you can have a nice, quit walk. A lovely cabin in a great location with all the facilities you could ask for. Beautiful forest walks on the doorstep, and a short drive from the New Forest and everything that has to offer. One very small thing, the garden perimeter was open to surroundings. it would be a bonus if it was fully fenced as we had to have the dog tethered or on the lead at all times. A beautiful place though, and we would happily recommend.

Property furnished to a high standard. The photos don’t do it justice. Three lovely bathrooms each with fabulous walk in hot showers. Good sized fridge and freezer and dishwasher in modern new kitchen with adjoining utility area. The property flowed for family living especially good with snug separate TV area. Loved the easy access from the veranda into the good sized hot tub. The only slight negative was the attic room was quite hot as no skylight window to open. The owners are very helpful and accommodating and I would recommend this property for a family gathering… we were a party of 10. Ringwood is a lovely town about a mile away with a few nice wine bars (Framptons very good cocktails) and lots of coffee shops. We would definitely return.

We stayed here with family (6 adults, 3 children, a fairly newborn baby and 1 dog). This was a fantastic property for all of us. The location was ideal - right on the doorstep of the forest for us to go exploring; about a 45 minute walk to the play trail which is worth a visit. The hot tub was a hit with all of us. It was also just a 20 min drive into Bournemouth and other locations. Property was incredibly clean and the host was friendly. The room with the bunk beds got incredibly hot as it doesn’t have any windows so the doors to the next bedroom and the shared area need to be kept open for ventilation and to avoid overheating. The app said checkout was 11 but it says 10 in the property. Discussed this with host and he was very understanding and accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again.

Had a great weekend break at Karelia. Set in the forest with access to Moors Valley the kids and adults loved it. Bedrooms and bathrooms all nicely put together, and the kitchen equipped for catering for the group. Would recommend without hesitation.

Really only suitable for 6 adults and two children, as the hideaway bed in the eaves was too hot at this time of the year. Our 5yr old granddaughter loved the bunk beds! We all loved visiting the nearby Moors Valley Country Park.

This property was perfect for our needs and matched up to the website description. Newly refurbished and extended, it was very well equipped with a good kitchen and excellent showers. The layout was fun for the teenage guests, who were also happy with the wifi speeds. The hot tub got a lot of use and we also used the sauna (extra charge). It's really easy to get to the coast and to the New Forest by car, and there are more local walks and bike trails accessible directly from the cabin.
