The property was really clean and well kept, we loved the decor! We came to York to visit the Christmas markets for my boyfriend’s birthday, Helen had left a balloon out for us which was a lovely surprise! Would love to come back and stay at Helen’s place again!

It’s a little bit further out from the city centre, but if you’re happy to walk it’s a nice route so we didn’t mind

Very clean and comfortable, in a good location for local shops and a short 40 min walk to York racecourse and Town Centre.

Although called Prosecco Palace with many pictures, place mats, glasses and objects promoting Prosecco, there were no full bottles! 😀

Beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom, furnishings and quirky fun decorations. Bright atmosphere from natural light. Fully contained kitchen appliances. Large fridge. Free and effective WiFi. Great attention to the little things like the provision of tea towels, washing up liquid, coffee pods, milk cartons, cooking oil etc. Quiet location. Wide range of shops and cafe bars within 5 minutes walk. Felt like being home from home. Quick and friendly communications with Helen the host. Highly recommended. N. Robinson ( Chester UK)

Not a complaint but be aware that the staircase is rather narrow (to be expected in a terraced property of this age) so care is needed when ascending and descending especially with luggage. Also be careful with the small door step into the street.

Really relaxing and lovely stay in Prosecco palace we will definitely will definitely recommend to others.

The little touches were so amazing such as the lovely prosecco glasses/wine glasses in the cupboard. The Christmas tree with decorations and all the small touches.

Would be even better if it was a bit closer to the centre but that can’t be helped

Passable

We stayed in about 12 B & B's on our recent trip to the UK and became very familiar using the English shower system. The water temperature for the Prosecco shower was so unmanageable that the shower was essentially unusable, alternating between ice cold and blistering hot. The water was so hot it literary steamed and was dangerous.

Great apartment with quality and thoughtful aspects.

The feel about the apartment was above our expectations. The Christmas tree was lit up so when we arrived it gave us a great feeling from the start. A lot of thought and expense has gone into the apartment with a high-quality feel across all rooms. Netflix was included so a nice escape from normal TV after our adventures in York! Tip! - once parked up leave it there - take the bus from just around the corner (No. 4) -relax from driving into York and finding parking!

The settee wasn't as comfortable as I would prefer but apart from that there were no issues for a short stay.

Our stay in York was made so much better knowing we had such a relaxing and clean place to stay. Many thanks.

The owner was extremely attentive and the accommodation was spotless even though our booking was very last minute and could have presented problems. The communication from the owner was also first class with quick responses to our queries. There is little we could fault.

The biggest issues for us was the noise of the traffic outside and the difficulty in getting a roadside parking space, but there is little that the owner can do about this.

Perfect for what I needed. Clean, secure, safe for a solo traveller.

The host was very quick with responding. All required information was made available quickly and was easy to follow. So clean, I loved how clean it was. The quirky decor, very cute. Bed and linen very comfortable. Despite not being in the city centre, access to the bus was very close and convenient and explained clearly how to access. Everything you could need has been thought of. Being an Aussie and not familiar with the shower system it took a tiny min to work out how to operate but very clear in the information provided. Close proximity to the supermarket very convenient.

Exactly what you need for a few days away, clean, tidy and warm. It's the little things that make it, eg free access to Netflix, all kitchen equipment, music playing with Xmas songs and decorations on as you enter! Loved it! Free parking is invaluable too

Everything about the PP was amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Location was great. 10 minutes in a taxi, or a leisurely 25 minute walk, from the train station. Racecourse around the same distance away. We took the no4 bus, which stops pretty much right outside the flat, to the Racecourse. Get it to the first stop on Tadcaster Road then a wee walk through Cherry Lane and you're there. Tip for people unfamiliar to York, if you are staying at the PP make sure you specify that you are going to Acomb, as there are two Gladstone Streets in York. Luckily our taxi driver asked questions of us! Supermarket on the doorstep, and plenty takeaways around. The Flat was clean, tidy, cozy and welcoming. Good shower and towels. WiFi was brilliant. Iron and Hairdryer both came in handy. Kitchen has everything you'll ever need including leaf tea, or my favourite, good old Yorkshire Tea :) Helen, the host, could not have been more helpful. It's the little touches that make it so special. You can tell that loads of effort has been put into the place to make it as good as it is. They definitely work hard at making people feel good whilst they are hosting them. So glad we found the place, and will definitely look to stay again should we find ourselves in York.

Plesent enough inside but overall not impressed with the cleanliness

Location was good, close to York City and local pubs/shops very convenient. Bus service excellent.

Front of property a little shabby, quite off putting. Bathroom would benefit from a deep clean - silicone around the bath dirty/ tile area (grouting) near the shower dirty.

The flat was lovely decorated and the personal touches were lovely. It had everything required for a few days stay. Morrisons within walking distance and buses nearby.

There wasn't anywhere to hang up towels when damp after shower etc. Darker curtains in bedroom might have been better as woken by sun early in the morning not everyone is used to this.
