San Peter Lory's Aparts

The owner arranged our airport transfer which was very convenient (at additional fee). Despite our flight being delayed by an hour, he was happy to personally met us at the apartment after 1 am. He warmly welcomed us and took the time to explain how everything worked. The welcome basket was also a lovely and much-appreciated touch. We stayed in the three-bedroom Premium Apartment at Viale delle Milizie 9, which has two bathrooms. It is a historic apartment that has been tastefully renovated, combining high ceilings and classic character with a modern interior. The location is perfect. The Vatican is just a 10-minute walk away, while Ottaviano Metro Station is only a 5-minute walk from the apartment. From there, it is easy to reach Roma Termini in around 10 minutes, with convenient connections to other parts of Rome. The Leonardo Express also provides a fast connection to the airport, taking around 30 minutes from Roma Termini to Rome Fiumicino Airport. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a hairdryers, washing machine, an iron and and a coffee maker. The air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated in the 40°C heat. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants and cafés in the surrounding area. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone planning a trip to Rome!

Alberto was very charming and helpful and met us at the metro station - which was only a few hundred meters away. A great location with the whole of Rome very accessible and some great local facilities.

As a large family and extended family of 16 people travelling together, our host Alberto met us onsite to orient us to the two apartments that were in buildings located approx 100 m apart.  Both units were clean, with a kitchenette, and there was a thoughtful welcome basket containing a loaf of bread, cookies, jam, and packaged croissants in each unit.   The elevator was very cool with a historic feel to match the city.  One apartment was on the seventh floor and the elevator only went to 6, so it was necessary to climb stairs for one flight.  However, this was a fair tradeoff for the "penthouse" with a lovely rooftop terrace. The best feature, though, was the excellent location within easy walking distance to the Vatican, and around the corner from the metro station.  We could easily get around the city with transit. Alberto gave us tips on the closest and most reasonable grocery store, and he was easily accessible by phone if we had any questions. We took the Terravision bus from the airport which has a Vatican stop approx 15-20 min walk from the apartments.  On departure, we were able to take the metro to Roma Termini and the next train for our onward journey. 

Beds were not super comfy...some too firm, some too soft.
