Lovely apartment

Terrific! Great location, lovely hosts, very comfortable stay!!

The hosts were there to welcome us and show us where to park our hire car, explain the facilities etc which was really handy. A very lovely welcome basket and other extras made our stay really comfortable. It's one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in. The hosts obviously care about the quality of your stay. Great location, walking distance to the town, the castle and other attractions. The late check out was bliss!

Nothing. A negative for some people may be that the apartment was only accessible by stairs.

A wonderful homely bolt hole from which to explore the area

The apartment is very cosy, comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The hosts, Karen and Steve, are delightful, helpful, caring and attentive. It made a very pleasant change to be greeted in person on our arrival - so much nicer than crossing your fingers and hoping that the key system is going to work!

Very clean and tidy, had all facilities needed for a relaxing stay. Owners were very helpful in giving information about the local area provided everything needed for our stay.

Very enjoyable short break in this apartment….very deserving of their rating.

Extremely well appointed with everything you would need for a stay. Also very nice extra touches /provisions as a welcome. Karen gave us a warm welcome with lots of advice on where to eat/shop.

Very nice new fluffy towels , but too new…needed to have been washed through a couple of times…struggled to get dry with them🤪

Very well appointed flat in a great location.

The hosts met us at the property to give us keys and a walk through of the flat. They had provided some breakfast supplies and a bottle of fizz as well as coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits. Made us feel very welcome. Lots of advice regarding pubs and restaurants, all within a brisk 10 minute walk. The entrance to Alnwick Castle grounds and gardens is even closer. We would have hesitation in booking the flat again or recommending it to friends.

The shower could have been more powerful.

I highly recommend

Karen and Steve were very welcoming and generous. The table was laid on our arrival with a bottle of Prosecco. Lots of extras which were much appreciated. A safe haven in the storm. Central to Alnwick facilities and quiet.

Lovely comfortable apartment

Good location close to town, very well appointed apartment with a good amount of everyday items (such as tea, coffee, washing up liquid, tin foil etc) that made this really stand out from others we've stayed in. Lovely hosts and lots of information about the area to look through. Excellent price for the accommodation on offer, much better value than others.

Quiet. Good location. Spotlessly clean. Generous food and drink supplied.

Couldn't find a bread board or chopping board. No electric shaver point in bathroom.

A definite rebook at Steve & Karen's apartment in the future.

The hosts, Steve & Karen, were there on our arrival to hand over the keys. They couldn't have been more helpful, with lots of tips about about local places to visit, and restaurants etc. The apartment was excellent, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. One of the nicest and best positioned we have stayed in on our trips around the UK. The Cottage Inn restaurant, Craster is a must go to, but book in advance. One to avoid is the Plough in Ainwick. New owners not up to scratch and menu bland. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable 5 days in Northumberland at Steve & Karen's

The 34 steps up to the apartment, but then at 76 I do have dodgy knees.

Warmly welcomed by the owners to an excellent flat in a great location.

Hosts were excellent, their advice spot on. Location was superb with easy access to Alnwick. Flat was well furnished very clean and fully equipped for our needs.

Only minor things. I would echo the warning on your site re the stairs. Not a problem for us but maybe for others.

Fabulous apartment.

Lovely apartment, comfortable, tasteful, well equipped. Fab breakfast basket. Comfy beds, cosy lounge, very quiet even though its only a 5 minute walk into town. Owners are so helpful and friendly, greeted us on arrival and gave us lots of great information. Brilliant location for exploring Northumberland. Right round the corner from Barter Books.

Lovely short stay in a Clean, Modern, Quiet Apartment, with parking, near to Town Centre.

I can only echo the comments made by previous renters - clean, modern apartment with good sized double bedrooms, well equipped including the welcome pack. close to town centre and supermarket but in a quiet location with parking on site.

Being on the second floor there are steps to climb (33?) - we were aware of this and they were not a problem for us, as we are keen walkers, but they might be an issue for those with very young children (ie with a pram or buggy) or for those much less fit than us. They do not put us off staying there again, all the pluses/plusses far outweigh this minor inconvenience.

Excellent location and beautiful comfortable flat. Perfect for exploring local area.

Steve and Karen met us at the property .They were so friendly and welcoming and talked us through the flat i.e television control heating etc. They had provided a welcome pack of food and prosecco. The flat was spotless and beds/sofas etc were extremely comfortable. It was well stocked with kitchen equipment and cleaning products. The location is perfect. It is in the middle of the town ,but in a very quiet area.

I would prefer a shower screen rather than a curtain in the bath, but that is a very small detail and not a complaint.

Perfectly located for us both for the town and for our trips out making everything we wanted to do easy. The owners where really helpful and left us goodies to enjoy to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely look at booking again. Thanks.

The only downside would be the three flights of stairs as its a third storey apartment. Didn't bother us but would be unsuitable for some too.
