Nice place, interesting experiences.

Good position respect main citie’s center attractions. Nice, clean and comfy! Host was helpful.

There is a Nesspreso machine, useful and apreciated, probably, by a lot of host. For us, as lovers of real coffe (italian coffe), would be a good ideea to find a mokka in kitchen when we will came back next holiday, in Bologna, to La Dotta.

Great value for the location.

The location was terrific, walking distance to many of the major sights. Many restaurants in the neighborhood and an excellent coffee shop a block away.

Instructions for entry were not totally accurate (e.g. "hold the button for 10 seconds to open the door" should have said "hold the button until you hear the door click open". It often took longer than 10 seconds. We could not figure out how to use the TV, and the manager never responded to my What's App message asking for instructions. The floor was dirty, I made the mistake of walking around in my white socks.

Perfect for city centre break

An excellent location within walking distance to the historic centre, shops, taxi stand, restaurants. A spacious, modern, secure, comfortable city centre apartment. Well furnished and equipped. Perfect for a city break. Lucia the host is responsive and helpful.

The hot water in the bathroom tends to run out after one person has showered. And not even long showers!

Perfect location. 10-15 walk to the very centre. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, taxi rank 1 minute walk from the apartment. Great comms from Lucia (thank you, Lucia), including recommendations. Two minute walk to Gamberini Patiserie!

the owner will try gaslighting you. after booking the apartment we were told the elevator wasnt working and would be working on may 30th. on may 30th it was. changed to june 7th. on june 7th to june 15th. This owner is not an honest person. do not waste your money or time here.

The worst flat we have ever stayed, smelt of sewage, misleading pictures and noisy.

-The flat smelt of sewage, it was unbearable to stay in the flat -pictures on booking.com are misleading. We mainly booked this flat because we loved the balcony with the table and chairs, instead the balcony was really narrow and definitely wasn’t the picture feature on booking.com (I have added a picture of what the balcony realky looks like) - The flat was really noisy -The lift didn’t work and there are a LOT of stairs - This is minor, but it has a full kitchen and cutlery, but NO PLATES, what are we supposed to use the cutlery on? Do they expect us to use the table as a plate? We go to Italy every year (at least once a year) for the last 10 years. This is the worst flat we have stayed in Italy.

Bare bones apartment in a good location

The first apartment I had booked months ahead for our stay in Bologna cancelled just four days before we left for Europe. La Dotta cost more but was in a good location near restaurants, pastry shops and Mercato Erbe. It's a bare-bones apartment (one roll of toilet paper for two people for four nights, no kleenex, no toiletries) but the bed was comfortable and the retractable shutters let us adjust the air and privacy. On the hottest night we used the mini-split AC. The small terrace overlooks all the other apartments so you feel like a local sitting out there for dinner.

The elevator was out of service during our stay, so the long walk up to the third (fourth?) floor each day was tough for our 75+ year-old bodies. Workmen were there the day we left so hopefully it got fixed. Also the washer/dryer combo in the bathroom was great for washing clothes but the dryer portion steamed in wrinkles - and the iron didn't work. It's better to hang clothes to dry on the towel rack. Also the "sofa" was a day bed, not a comfortable spot to sit and read or watch tv.

Disappointing stay

The main bedroom bed was very comfy and the style of the apartment was nice. Had every amenity you could ask for.

The sofa/sofa bed was completely broken and the sheets that were on it had a stain on it..I went to clean it off and it immediately came off so that concerns me of what it was (pooh). Also the shower must never have been cleaned in between stays as it clogged up on my first shower and onto the bathroom floor. When I reached out to the host, she did not automatically respond until my second message at night and noone ever came the next morning as she stated. I had to request for someone to come before lunchtime the following day. Additionally, I was not proved the original apartment I requested, I was put in an annex which was above a very noisy bar/restaurant and had a tenant next door who had a temper tantrum child who screamed in the morning and at night, with the father chiming in at times. Also there was no instructions on how to work the microwave nor the stove and they were not straightforward. Also, the site says a complimentary bottle of wine/champagne is provided and we were not provided with any. And what's with the towels with pot leaves on them??? The host was very nice and responsive when I first was talking to her...in Italian. When I switched over to talk with her in American English, it seems her demeanor and responsiveness completely changed.

Very cozy apartment with all the amenities needed. The location is fantastic and the host was very polite and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay in Bologna very much, would recommend this apartment!

The place is in a great location. It is easy to walk to town centre to many restaurants, bars, and museums. It is lively at night, especially on Saturdays....

Nice apartment in excellent location

Fantastic location within walking distance of railway station and city centre with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Well equipped kitchen. Good communication from owner who was very quick to resolve issues.

Thin towels. Sachets of body wash/ shampoo. Shower didn’t switch between functions despite attempt by plumber to fix. Would benefit from comfortable seat in bedroom. One TV had local channels only; the other had local Channels plus Netflix.

Appartment door lock was not working, personal was see that we cannot enter room and refuse to help. Cleanliness was terrible ... Rast in bathroom, oily spots in kitchen... And note that we need wash everything before we check out. So why you guys charge for cleaning if im need clean after myself?

A lovely stay in Bologna.

Wonderful shower. Nicely furnished flat, very comfortable. Very good, secure wifi. I never met the hosts, but written instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Good location.

Noisy. Street noise---buses, cars, motorcycles, party goes---could be heard through the night.

we had really nice time here. if i had a chance to come again i will choose this place again.

it has great location. everywhere is 10 min away for walking. it takes 15 min to walk from train station. piazza magiore is 10 min to walk. cafes for breakfast is 3 min away. so every facility is close. it is clean. heating is not perfect but even in january we didnt feel cold.

there is no sign showing the apartment’s name. bed is not so comfortable. rest is best.

It was extremely loud- we aren’t light sleepers but we could not sleep because of the loud noises outside. apartment is not sound proof. also we didn’t like the check in system, you need to use a phone call and a code - it’s not convenient when people travel from abroad in a group. please change your laundry detergent - it was very smelly and I got allergy. honestly speaking, didn’t enjoy our stay and would not recommend or come back there

The central location was very convenient, easy access to the appartment with a numeric code.

1) There was no terrace in the appartment while in the description it clearly says there is. 2) It would be good if there was a storage room for luggage after checkout time. 3) There is a need for a shelf under a shower for a soap/shampoo. Not so convenient to hold it all in hands. 4) Extra toilet paper rolls would be nice, it was just enough for 2-3 days but for a day longer would not suffice

Perfect work trip apartment!

Incredible apartment and location. All appliances are very new, plenty of space for storage and has everything you need for. Super central location meaning you can be anywhere in Bologna in a short walking time. Definitely somewhere I'd stay again!

The streets can be noisy. Okay if you have the windows closed but if you are a light sleeper might be an issue if you want to keep the windows open.

Good resting spot from which to explore the centro storico.

Excellent location for exploring the city centre. The owner provided lots of useful information. The space was clean.

The size was small for 4 adults. For a 1 night stay it was ok, but longer wouldn’t have been great. The checkout time of 10:30 am was very early, not giving time to go out for breakfast before having to leave.

Great Location, helpful hostess.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from all the action and landmarks you want to see in Bologna. The hostess sent a really useful user-guide setting out everything we needed to know like the WiFi code, how to gain access to the apartment etc. As the apartment is quite high up you don't get bothered by the noise from the street below which is great. There's air conditioning which is good if you're there in mid summer.

There's nothing really bad about this apartment. I'd prefer to have soap / shampoo dispensers rather than a pile of little plastic sachets containing shampoo and soap because there's a lot of plastic waste which is bad for the environment, but otherwise it's a nice place and I would recommend it!
