Originally built as a church, the property has been converted into a comfortable home perfect for your stay. The location can't be beat -- there is no other detached home like this in downtown Salida. Come see for yourself! Our home is light, bright, and "S" Mountain is outside the front door. The kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space, high-end appliances (6 burner gas cook-top) and a flat screen TV. Step outside to a private deck or go back to the patio and enjoy the seating area and green grass. The house has high-speed internet, cable TV service, three flat screen TVs (living room, queen bedroom, kitchen), and a gas fireplace. The living room television screen is 65" - perfect for sporting events or watching movies on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player.

We had such a great time in Salida! Loved the house and its location was perfect! Definitely great to be within walking distance of the downtown shopping /dining area and river. Sat on the front porch for the perfect view of the 4 th of July fireworks! The house was very clean and stocked with everything we could have needed. The backyard was great but we spent every evening relaxing on the deck. I would definitely recommend at trip to Salida to family or friends and would most cerydtay here again.

Stayed at the Salida Church House for a few days around Xmas. It's a great location, about as close as you can get to downtown without being right in the middle of it. Fantastic, well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to make a holiday meal for the family. Great backyard/patio. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends/family.

We had an excellent stay! The house is beautiful and well-appointed! It has everything you need to hang out and enjoy Salida. It is centrally located to downtown and you could see Moonlight Pizza from your front door. When 10” of snow changed our plans we extended our stay and Tom, the owner, was so patient and helpful as we navigated the change! Definitely staying here again!

Ladies wanted a place centrally located, easy walk to downtown and a great place to hang out and craft. This house fulfilled all the wants and needs! The kitchen was well-appointed with everything you would need to cook and bake. Beds were comfy and there was enough space to spread out. Tom was wonderful to work with. This is a great property! It's very convenient to downtown and we were able to walk everywhere for shopping and dining. The property was accurately depicted on the website. We encountered a minor issue with check-in and were delayed for a couple of anxious hours and felt that the property manager could have communicated a little sooner. But other than that minor issue we have nothing to criticize.

We went to Salida to celebrate my husband's 60th and had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. Beautifully decorated, so comfortable in every aspect, we felt right at home. We enjoyed the out door spaces, plenty of nice seating and shade for the late afternoon and evening. The location is unbeatable! We could even walk to our excursion meeting places. A local park is a few blocks away and we were able to enjoy the Saturday Farmers market! We hope to return!

Location just a few blocks from the riverfront fun, yet very quiet. Church House is even more gorgeous than the photos. Everything from pillows to appliances is carefully chosen and high end. The owners lavished TLC and excellent taste on this gem, and communication with them was fast and flawless. Kitchen and laundry well equipped; technology A+; patio truly special. We were so happy to return every night after horseback, hot springs, breweries, etc. Without a doubt the best VRBO we've ever rented. Can't wait to go back! Thank you!

We highly recommend this house. The location is quiet, yet just a few steps to restaurants, shops & grocery stores. The private, fenced back yard is wonderful. The house was clean & spacious. This is an awesome place. Well equipped, open, comfortable, clean and overall just a really great house. Great location with walking distance to great restaurants and grocery store. Perfect place to relax, play games and a huge and well appointed kitchen for cooking. The host was super-kind and helpful with whatever we needed. Best of all was the 20 min drive to Monarch to ski which makes it such a fun family getaway location. We had 7 in our party and had plenty of space to spread out. We will most definitely return!

Tom and Leann did a great job remodeling this historic building. Great proximity to the restaurants, bars, parks and grocery stores for walking downtown Salida. Accommodations were well appointed and well furnished. Tom even secured a pack and play for us so we would not have to bring one with us. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter and I do not ski and this was the perfect location only steps from everything, but also close enough to Monarch skiing for my husband and sons. Safeway and Natural grocers both very near as well as antique stores and boutiques. My teenagers also liked playing basketball in the park just behind the house. The house was clean, and well stocked with everything you need to make your stay spectacular. The owners were great to work with and we would definitely stay again.

Our family traveled to Salida for the Thanksgiving holiday and stayed in Tom's wonderful home. The location was ideal - easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the park, the Arkansas River and the grocery store. The home was super clean and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and Tom was a fantastic host. I highly recommend this property. It is an easy drive up to Monarch Pass. The people in the town were really friendly and made us feel right at home.
