The apartment was outstanding. Everything you would need was there. Sunny, clean,spacious and a lovely balcony to enjoy your wine. Although it is in the Oceanside Resort and twin towers it is managed separately (thank god). The owner was lovely, communicated immediately and instructions were excellent. Absolute bonus not having to deal with reception as they are extremely rude and have no people skills. Bus and hot pools across the road, a 2 min walk to both Mount Maunganui and Pilot Bay beaches and cafes and restaurants right outside the door. Book with this private owner, you won’t regret it.

We generally enjoyed our stay and love how close to the mount/beach and restaurants it is so thats a big plus. The condo was clean but the furniture was uncomfortable in the lounge area, the couches were very awkward to sit on and there’s no view of the ocean or river from inside. We also could hear the traffic going by and people racing by all day and until late evening. I know its not the owners fault, but just what we experienced. We have stayed in quite a few places in this area and love the beach here and the mount, so it was worth the couple of negatives.
