About this villa rental
Villa Lentischi is located in an exclusive residential complex called "I lentischi", just 5 km from the white sandy beaches and crystal clear sea of Chia, just outside Domus de Maria. Surrounded by luxuriant nature and the island's scents, this elegant villa with private pool and garden offers tranquility and spectacular views of the surrounding hills.
Furnished with taste, the villa combines a cozy and contemporary style with traditional Sardinian elements, and is equipped with winter air conditioning, satellite television - decoder - and wifi connection. It is composed of two floors so divided:
1st floor (60 m2): living room with fireplace, combined with kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, access to large covered veranda and garden with swimming pool, double bedroom with wardrobe, second double bedroom (with skylight) a bathroom and a cellar containing the washing machine and some furniture usable on the beach.
2nd floor (50 m2): two double bedrooms (beds of 140 cm) with access to the upper terrace, bathroom and garden with swimming pool.
The garden of 700 sqm. placed on different levels, has a lush Mediterranean vegetation, among which are the wild mimosas, various kinds of broom, oleander, bougainvillea, myrtle and numerous ornamental species such as lantana. The small, 3x7-sized pool, set in a very private area, has a depth ranging from 150 to 250 cm. and is exposed to the sun from morning to sunset. It has loungers and a small porch to shelter from the sun. There is also a barbecue area.
The large entrance veranda features a metal dining table and ceramic, a sofa and armchairs to allow for a pleasant stay at all hours of the day.
In the quiet village of Domus de Maria, a few hundred meters away, there are all the shops you may need for daily shopping, or you can buy directly from producers, fruits and vegetables and other local produce at Km0 . There are also restaurants and pizzerias; many summer festivals - porceddu, fish, goat etc. are organized.
Just outside the complex you can access some pleasant walking trails in the surrounding hills.

Lovely villa. Basic inside but everything you need. Within walking distance of a local village though up a hill on the way back for those not too mobile. Pretty garden and lovely seated area outside for meals. Great contact with the owners and local help from the housekeeper.

Das Haus ist eigentlich ganz schön, hat aber einige Mängel. Der Pool ist super, sehr schön groß & sauber. Der Garten ist auch total schön. Es gibt aber leider nur drei dünne Auflagen für die Liegen. Also zu 8. sollte man auf keinen Fall Urlaub machen, weil es auch nur vier Liegen gibt und in der Küche nur 4 Stühle. Ausserdem ist ein Zimmer halb im Keller, nur mit einem winzigen Fenster. Zu viert ist es aber völlig in Ordnung.
Am ersten Abend ist die Wasserpumpe ausgefallen und das schien normal zu sein. Es kam direkt der Sohn des Vermieterpaares und hat die Pumpe wieder in Gang gebracht. Wir mussten sie aber immer mal wieder neustarten weil sie wieder ausging.
Der Sohn spricht auch kein Wort Englisch, was beim Check in auch etwas ungünstig war, weil er einfach nichts gesagt hat. Wenn man kein Englisch spricht, kann man ja Google Translater bemühen und sich versuchen zu behelfen. Aber so hatten wir schon einen nicht so tollen Start. Zudem hat das Haus super modrig nach Abfluss gerochen. Also vorher mal einen Tag lüften wäre gut.
Man muss sich jeden Tag um den Müll kümmern und den abends immer rausstellen, was ein bisschen nervig ist. Als wir ankamen gab es keine einzige Rolle Klopapier und keine Seife. Das ist etwas doof,wenn man abends ankommt und schon einkaufen war auf dem Weg.
Wahrscheinlich hätten wir das auch bei den Vermietern alles erfragen können aber wir wollte auch nicht jeden Tag jemanden kommen lassen.
Die Klimaanlage ist manchmal einfach ausgegangen und auch sonst kommt eigentlich alles was gedübelt ist halb aus der Wand. Die Badezimmer sind relativ alt und die Duschen ultra klein.
Die zwei Betten oben sind nur 190 lang und haben ein Kopf- und Fußteil, so dass man sich als große Person nicht ausstrecken kann. Ausserdem spürt man jede einzelne Sprungfeder in den Matratzen.
Die Spülmaschine kam einem auch entgegen wenn man sie zu ruckartig geöffnet hat und das Fach von dem Tab ist nicht aufgegangen während des Spülvorgangs. Alles so Kleinigkeiten wo man sich drum kümmern müsste und es hätte sicher direkt jemand repariert aber wie gesagt wir wollten jetzt auch nicht den ganzen Urlaub damit verbringen, dass jemand im Haus etwas repariert.
Für den Mietpreis hätten wir einfach ein bisschen mehr erwartet, denn diese Mängel sieht man schon wenn man einmal durchs Haus geht und genau guckt. Also es kann ruhig etwas Geld investiert werden, dann würden wir auch wiederkommen :)
