About this villa rental
Villa Tessa is a splendid two-story villa with the strong charachter which derives from it actually being a converted barn house. It sleeps ten people. From Villa Tessa you will enjoy a charming view of the Chianti hills and of the vineyards. Villa Tessa is 210 square meters (2260 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 3.5 km (2.2 miles) from Castelfiorentino, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 1 km (roughly 1100 yards).
To stay at Villa Tessa you will need a car. You will be able to park it inside the entrance gate.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 5 meters (16 feet) large by 10 meters (33 feet) long, 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, two sun umbrellas, deck chairs, four sun loungers and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a fascinating view of the Tuscan hills. The pool is open from mid-March until the end of October.
Garden
The garden is 1000 square meters (10800 square feet). It is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a gazebo and an hammock. In the garden you will find a fenced children's playground. Here you will also find a barbecue.
Ground FloorLiving Room
The furnishings of the living room are rural and characteristic of the Tuscan house, featuring some antique pieces, and include a sofa and two armchairs. There is a nice fireplace made of bricks. The dining table can accommodate ten guests. In this room you will find a large flat-screen satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the garden and the swimming pool through two French doors.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the corridor. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker, a toaster and a kettle. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the garden.
Bedroom 1
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. The furnishings are warm and welcoming. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom 1
The first bathroom is tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the corridor. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.
First FloorBedroom 2
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. The ceiling is sloped and has characteristic exposed wood beams and terracotta tiles. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). The room has a Juliet balcony with a view of the garden and of the hills, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 3
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a Juliet balcony, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 4
You will be able to enter the fourth bedroom from the corridor. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a Juliet balcony with a view of the garden and of the hills, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

You will be able to enter the fifth bedroom from the corridor. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a Juliet balcony, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

The second bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

We stayed at the Villa Tessa in July for two nights during our tour of Italy. Absolutely beautiful Villa in a beautiful part of the Tuscan landscape. We booked the villa due to its 40 minute drive from Florence. The accommodations and owners were amazing.

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was a beautiful, peaceful setting where our family could enjoy the beautiful weather in such a nice front and back yard. The kids loved the pool and trampoline!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Tessa. We were a group of 6 - two couples and two singles. We had plenty of space to share and for privacy. One bedroom on the first floor with a full bath and four bedrooms upstairs with two full baths. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals at home, and we dined outside on the patio overlooking the pool for lunches and dinners.
We enjoyed the pool and lounging under the olive trees. A couple of local cats graced us with their presence from time-to-time, but never let us get too close.
The house setting was quiet with the exception of Saturday night, when there seemed to be a few more cars going by the house than all of the other days.
The booking experience with Summer In Italy was very positive. We appreciated the information provided in advance; it was very thorough in preparing us for our stay.

Villa Tessa was perfect for what we wanted.
The appliances were relatively new. The plumbing, the electric, the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and efficient. Screens on all the windows for those concerned about mosquitoes. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The view was extraordinary over the garden and pool out into the hills. No air conditioning: but we didn't need it. Even with temperatures in the 90s Fahrenheit, the evening cooled off nicely with a pleasant breeze and it was very enjoyable to sit outside. Even at the heat of the day the area around the pool was comfortable.
The villa is not as isolated as it may appear. It is located in a little enclave of 4 or so buildings and the little, narrow gravel road had occasional cars and trucks probably servicing local vineyards and olive trees. The villa being close to the road you certainly heard them go by even fairly early in the morning. I do not want to make that sound worse than it was. It certainly did not spoil the stay, just not quite what was expected.
The owner was most gracious and the meal she and her daughters prepared for us was wonderful.
Summer In Italy is great. I have already recommended you to another family. Before and during the trip I always received a very prompt reply to my questions. You have been very helpful. And the selection of possible villas was huge. Something for everyone, for sure.
