About this villa rental
Our Greek-Spanish Style Villa is located in the Cluster # 1 within the Wyndham Rio Mar complex. The Villa is equipped with two rooms, the Master bedroom that has a FULL SIZE bed and Full size love seat-bed with 45" TV set with WiFi.
Our second room is equipped with a Twin/Full Bunk bed, TV and WiFi. Our family room is equipped with two sofa-bed for the extra sleep space. The family room includes amenities such as a Full HD 60" LCD Flat Television, TV, WiFi, Some Roku channels. All of our sleeping areas are air conditioned making it perfect for a family getaway or a business stay in the heart of the Caribbean.
The Villa has a spectacular view of the golf course (Ocean Course Hole #9). It has a cross ventilated layout which makes it ideal for enjoying the breathtaking tropical scenery from the outdoor terrace. The Villa has a and fully equipped kitchen with quartz counter tops & stainless steel appliances. Fresh linens and towels are provided. A Golf Cart is not included for the duration of your stay.
With its natural surroundings, our Villa has a bit of Greek-Spanish flavor in its exterior design and throughout the Cluster #1 complex. Located just in front of the Ocean Golf Course (Hole #9) our guest enjoys the breathtaking view of the course during the day and the relaxing time during the night making it perfect for Golf lovers as well. It also has direct access to the course with our private staircase access from the Terrace. Villa guests are welcomed at the hotel and can enjoy the various amenities offered including golf, tennis, the casino, restaurants, gym and the Mandara Spa. Satisfy your appetite at one of the resort's restaurants and quench your thirst at a bar/lounge, a beach bar, or a poolside bar of the hotel. NOTE: Hotel pool is ONLY FOR HOTEL GUESTS .
During your stay,you can access the Beach THRU THE MEMBERS CLUB located at the east side of the Rio-Mar Complex with direct access to the beach. AS OF 8-31-2024 The Wyndam Complex Restricted the Use of the Members POOLS to the Owners and 2 Guests. Members bust be at the time of use. The Members POOL is ALSO restricted for VILLA OWNERS (So sad but its a new rule)
As you explore around the Rio Mar complex, the hotel has two championship golf courses (Ocean and River), a tennis Center with clay and hard courts. And of course, there's the beach, a mile long secluded sandy beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean where you can enjoy activities such as jet skiing, kite surfing, surfing, windsurfing, snorkeling and, of course, relaxing if that's what you want.
If you are looking for just plain fun, situated across Rio Mar is El Yunque National Rainforest Park which makes our Villa provide the perfect home-base for adventure seekers as well as the relaxing stay. Enjoy beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls, tropical plants, and bird watching at the only rain forest in the national park system, or book a day of water-sports (snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, etc) at Las Cabezas de San Juan Bio Bay. If you're feeling extra adventurous, take the ferry to Vieques, which is home to one of the world's premier bioluminescent bays or Culebra Island's famed Flamenco Beach, which is rated one of the best in the world.
Unfortunately we do not provide a golf cart and we highly recommend renting a car to move around the Island. We recommend a GPS or a GPS-Application in your smart phone for easier and faster lookout of all amenities outside the Rio Mar Complex.
The hotel offers tours to the various attractions. Nearby attractions and activities include the Fajardo ferry boat to the Islands of Vieques and Culebra, the Rio Grande El Yunque National Rainforest with its majestic waterfalls, the bioluminescent lagoon of Fajardo, the scenic and historic Old San Juan, a Beltz Outlet Shopping Mall in Canovanas and horseback riding, canopy zip line, mountain biking and ATV riding in Carbali, Rio Grande.

Everything was great. It was our second time staying at this property. We do miss the golf cart to get to the main hotel. A/C works great and has a nice-sized kitchen. They have coolers too that you can use. See you next time.

Enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was situated on the 9 green of the ocean course which we enjoyed watching the golfers. The club house was a short 2 minute walk. The villa is a short 10 minute walk to Wyndham Grand Rio Mar resort or a 3 minute shuttle ride from golf course. Overall the Villa was nice but it could have been cleaner upon our arrival. One of the bedroom beds should be replaced for a more comfortable night sleep. The Villa was well appointed in the kitchen however there was no oven just a toaster oven which limited some dinner ideas. Overall the location was great to grocery stores, rain forest, beaches and restaurant. Highly recommend Puerto Rico for your next vacation.

Cannot beat this location - we enjoyed coffee on the patio watching the golfers tee off each morning. Only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms and they kept us plenty cool. Kitchen is nicely updated with everything you would need. Plenty of space in the dining/living room, but we mostly enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Beach chairs are available if you plan to explore other beaches. Beach towels, boogie boards and cooler also available. You will need a car to get to the beach, as well as to explore El Yunque. We preferred the villa beach area but also enoyed the beach area in front of the Wyndham - beach chairs and umbrellas are available at both. We got drinks and delicious burgers at 5:00 somewhere and had a fabulous dinner at Iguanas in the Clubhouse. Would also recommend the Rico Pan bakery for pastries and sandwiches, Ekelekua for brunch or lunch,and Luquillo Kiosk #22 - Jibaros.

I am a Host, was traveling as a Guest. Frankly floored at how we were treated. Thank GOD I documented everything! He accused us of bringing in an animal, NOT true, we fly in from Michigan, left me a phone text that was so absurd and attacking. Had to block! Host was hostile to me after trying to HELP the Host, letting him know his cleaning team left many things unaddressed. Mold in both bathrooms, kitchen dishes doety, toaster over filthy, no wash cloths, no shampoo, kichen lazy susan soaked with sticky substamce on everything, too much to even list. To be fair, he did send housekeeping 24 hours after, but STILL, many items were not adressed. Roof leaked in master bedroom, which I took pics of to inform HOST. I tried hard to work with him, but he became quite irritated with me, told me many of the complaints were MY reaponsibility, like shpoo, etc.
