This is a spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated/updated apartment with an incredible view of Monterosso al Mare, and the other four towns of Cinque Terre in the distance. The balcony is especially inviting. Very convenient location near the train station, grocery store, and many restaurants. Check-in process and communication with the host were very good. The only negative (as pointed out in other reviews) is that this view is only possible with a 120-step climb from street level, which we found challenging while carrying our luggage (not so bad without luggage). We would opt for paid luggage service next time.

Truly enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment it was nicely decorated had everything you could need and the views from almost ever window was incredible. We highly recommend and suggest staying a few extra days here instead of Florence or Rome.

Margherita's apartment has a beautiful coastal feel, and view off the balcony could not be any better. The apartment is the best equipped of any VRBO we have stayed at in any country. Margherita is a delight and very responsive. Monterosso is the village to stay in Cinque Terre and then visit the other villages from this home base. The restaurants, shops, and more expansive space provides for a less touristy place to stay. We loved every minute! Grazie mille Margherita!!

This was our first visit to the Cinque Terre and we loved it! Monterosso was the perfect place to stay and Margherita was a wonderful host. The apartment is 120 steps up. So we had to plan our day well. But it was worth every step! There are beautiful views from the balcony and we kept the doors open to enjoy the breeze (the apartment does have AC which we used at night). The apartment is just a short distance from the train station, which was very convenient, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment!

Wonderful! Hostess met us at the train and even had a porter for a charge carry our luggage 120 steps. The place was clean and modern. Loved the views of the ocean from the living room and one bedroom. Hope we can come back and stay longer.

A lovely VRBO. Comfy bed. Plenty of hot water, kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. Very fast response to texting. We were not prepared for the 121 outside steps up to the place. A challenge with luggage. We were offered to get help with carrying luggage but we are too frugal to pay for that! Views are stunning and you are super close to train station and restaurants, gelato and coffee shops. :)

We loved Casa Magonza. As two couples it had everything we could have asked for, plus spectacular coastal views. The in-person check-in was personable and covered everything. Monterosso itself is has all the bars and restaurants you need and serves as a good base for exploring all of Cinque Terre. The steps may be a challenge for some so consider a porter on arrival, especially if you have large or heavy luggage. Highly recommended.

The property and view were absolutely amazing. Looks exactly like the photos. Woke up each morning listening to the beach, just marvellous! There is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. Usually someone is there to help but not always so pack light, no stairs in Monterosso

What a perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of Cinque Terre and Monterosso! Yes, the climb up is most definitely worth the effort as the view is outstanding! We enjoyed morning coffee and evening Prosecco taking in the panoramic view! The accommodations were sparkling clean and Margherita was very helpful checking us in and getting us acquainted with the area. The location is perfect for exploring the old/new town and other small villages! We look forward to returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Monterosso. The apartment is immaculate, spacious, very well stocked and comfortable...even better than the photos, with a great location. The view is breathtaking. There is a grocery story just around the corner. Communication with the owner was easy. The parking lot is nearby and the rail station is a five minute walk. The steps up to the unit were no problem, my husband and I are both 66 years old. As others have mentioned, the view is well worth the climb. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute in this property. If it's available, book it!

We stayed with Margherita in June 2018 and vowed to come back because the place is amazing, and Margherita is so helpful and kind. The views are to-die-for, the place is neat, clean, well-equipped, spacious, and genuinely one of my and my wife’s favorite places in the world. We can’t wait to make our third trip, hopefully sooner than four years!

We loved this location, the cozy couch and view from everywhere one can see. The bed was very comfortable. All was spotless. And we enjoyed the breeze from the doors to the balconies in both the living space and master bedroom. Our favorite fine dining restaurant across all of Cinque terre, La Taverna di Monterosso, was just steps away. Many steps, but worth the view and peaceful space. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing place in a great location! Margherita’s apartment is so beautiful, clean and well-decorated. It is close to everything, beach, restaurants and train station. And the view is hard to even describe, just breathtaking!!! I highly recommend staying here when you visit Cinque Terre!
