    I had a wonderful stay at ibis Melbourne Central. The hotel is in a very convenient location on Little Lonsdale Street, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. What I especially appreciated was the location for attending church. St Francis’ Church on Lonsdale Street is very accessible, and St Patrick’s Cathedral is also easy to reach. For someone who values being close to Catholic churches and attending Mass while travelling, this location is a real advantage. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops and public transport options nearby, making it easy to explore Melbourne. Overall, I would highly recommend ibis Melbourne Central for its convenient location, comfort and accessibility. I would definitely stay here again.

    Located in the central, easy access to places in CBD. Hotel and room were clean. Room was quite small even for one person. Was quite difficult to move around. Sink is outside the bathroom.

    We stayed at ibis Melbourne Central for 3 nights and had a good overall experience. The hotel is right in the heart of Melbourne CBD, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. It is also conveniently located within the Free Tram Zone, which made getting around so much easier. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean, and we appreciated that the bedding was changed on the second day. The only downside was the limited room space. However, this wasn’t an issue for us as we mainly used the room to sleep after a full day of exploring. One thing to note if you’re travelling by car is that the hotel’s onsite parking is quite expensive at AUD 70 per night for hotel guests. Fortunately, there is a nearby car park charging AUD 45 per night for hotel guests, which is a more affordable alternative. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and well-located place to stay in Melbourne.

    I love staying at the ibis, have almost every time I have been to Melbourne since 2024. However these last two times, im not sure why but the air conditioning has been dismal. Not once have i ever made a complaint, but this time maybe I was at the end of my tether. Unfortunately for me I get hot flashes a lot due to health issues, and the room was stuffy, hot and claustrophobic. Couldn’t imagine how more uncomfortable it would be had it been summer. I couldn’t sleep and ultimately had to change hotels. The tv also had damage to it, with lines going across the bottom. Just not an enjoyable experience this time around which was sad as I’d been travelling for my birthday. And honestly I’m not paying for something that makes me physically uncomfortable. (I mean I am since there was no reimbursement offered and a solution only offered after I had told them I’d gotten and paid for a hotel elsewhere and that I’d be checking out, which then was of no use to me)
