About this house rental

This home is gorgeous! Located next to Fredericksburg Herb Farm only 5 blocks from Main Street, this home has everything you could imagine for a hill country getaway. The owners are experienced HomeAway/VRBO hosts with several popular rentals. They know how to do it right! The home was completely gutted and rebuilt in early 2018. It has high end appliances, electronics and is fully stocked with anything you could need for your stay. We just underwent a massive landscaping project and now have a Grill/Fire pit, covered trellis outdoor dining area, a regulation Boccie Ball Court and horseshoes in an expansive half acre back yard backing up to a creek. The enormous yard is fully fenced in if you earn your pets to be part of the fun too. You cannot go wrong with this rental! Both bedrooms are well appointed with queen beds. The home has cable, Wi-Fi and flat screen TVs in each room. The bathroom has an antique vanity and beautiful new shower. It is walking distance to one of the town's best restaurants, Fredericksburg Herb Farm (.3 miles) and is only 5 blocks from Main Street in close proximity to Hondo's and Crossroads.

This property is ocated within 10 minutes of HEB, Main Street, and higway access to wineries, yet tucked away and quiet. We enjoyed early morning walks around the neighborhood. We saw a lot of deer, and other wildlife. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds, soft sheets, plenty of pillows, and tvs with viewing options. There is one bathroom with a wide mirror and a large standing mirror in the back bedroom. We used both spaces to get ready as it was a party of 4 ladies. There are plenty of towels in the cupboard and shampoo and soap provided. Water pressure is good and we never ran out of hot water even with 4 showers in a row!The kitchen has all the tools you'll need to prepare and cook a meal with. The backyard is spacious and inviting with a grill, games, and patio seating. We enjoyed a meal under the Wisteria and patio lights. Very charming!!There were a couple of inconviences with appliances. The freezer door was left open upon arrival and had defrosted, and the dishwasher wasnt working. However, the host was quick to respond and helpful in problem solving. The issues were no derterrant to the enjoyment we had at the property. Try the Old German Bakery on Main Street for breakfast and grab a danish while you're there. You wont be disappointed!! Get there early before the wait!This is a great place to make memories and to rest after a long day of adventuring. We would love to stay again.

We spent just a weekend in Fredericksburg in late April. So, to get all the Fredericksburg "must dos" in in a couple of days, we didn't spend a lot of time at the house. That said, I'm glad that we stayed at this place. It was quite lovely.Dustin was easy to connect with and responsive to any questions that I had.There was plenty of space for 3 of us and the beds were really wonderful.If you are looking to be in all the action in Fredericksburg, this place probably isn't for you. We could have walked to get to Main Street, but it would have been a longish, hot walk. For our family, it was perfect! It was quiet and easy to get downtown and parking wasn't bad at all.We went to a couple wineries and had a couple really good dinners. Definitely go to Ottos and definitely make reservations if you can. The highlight of our trip though was the Pacific War Museum. That was amazing.

Overall this house and location were great! However, an outdoor fire pit was one of the big attractions for us, but much our surprise there was no firewood. When I asked the property manager about where to find the wood he said there probably wasn’t any because they hadn’t been there in a while and we should have brought our own! If wood is not going to be provided, they should let the guests know in advance so they can plan accordingly. I was told there was an HEB close by if we wanted to go get some. Again, not a huge deal, but I feel like it needs to be communicated best there may or may not be wood.Overall, I would stay there again and BYOW!

We enjoyed our stay and the owner was wonderful! I gave 4 stars as we were very disappointed that after we found the porch light switch as well as the GFI plug the patio lights did not work. So our plans to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine after dinner didn’t happen.

Absolutely perfect place for small groups or families. The home has been beautifully decorated & includes anything & everything you could ever need. We visited at the end of May so it was a bit hot to use the giant well manicured backyard as much as we’d liked but gives us an excuse to visit again later this year! We loved our stay at this cute house in Fredericksburg. It had all the amenities needed and was super clean. Our 2 dogs had a great time also. The yard is fenced and really big. We had a great time, was with my kids and dog. It was a hiking trip and we spent time hiking at enchanted rock and inks lake. The location was perfect to get dinner in town after a day of hiking. The property was well decorated, clean and comfortable with a beautiful backyard our dog loved. Very relaxing and peaceful. A much needed break from living in a big city with a meaningful but stressful job. Hope you book and enjoy your stay! Spring is especially lovely with Texas wildflowers and we were blessed with perfect weather.

We absolutely loved our stay at this place! The location was perfect and the neighborhood around the home was quiet and had beautiful scenery. The backyard is set up nicely for having cook outs and plenty of space to run around. We had a 1 year old with us and though it wasn’t fully baby proofed, we didn’t have a single accident. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of supplies needed for cooking and eating. The home stayed plenty warm at night and cool during the day, lots of natural light in all the rooms as well. Communication with the host was also super easy. He responded in under 2 mins when we messaged him, and answered any questions we had. We highly recommend this home and plan to stay here again next time we visit Fredericksburg!
