BpR Downtown Gemstone Apartments

Good apartment, good location, reasonably priced.

I couldn't open the lock boxes to get a fob for the main door. It jammed. I contacted the hosts. They wanted me to send a video to prove it didn't work. Other guests arrived at the same time, they couldn't get access it either. I was getting annoyed at their response and they finally agreed to send someone to check on the lock boxes. When I asked how long that guy would be they hung up on me. I phoned them back - they wouldn't answer. Eventually the guy did arrive (he couldn't access them either) and so he had to give us the code for the key pad for the main door which we then used the whole weekend (didn't need the fob in the end). If the guy on the phone had simply give us the code (to begin with) to let us in to the building rather than wanting us to send videos to prove we couldn't access the lock box and not have us waiting until their maintenance guy arrived it would have saved a whole lot of hassle. They then sent me a message to tell me the code (after I had already received it) but also to tell me to be basically be more courteous. I responded a few days later to explain how they need to work on their customer care. I haven't heard from them since.

The location was great, the staff responsive. It is quite spacious.

Problems while collecting the keys, the sofa bed is uncomfortable to sleep on, not enough kitchenware, sometimes there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom.

Clean, good location ( specifically if you like parties). 15-25 min walking from city centre. Great value for money.

Food places around the apartment are a bit pricey. Instructions to get in the apartment are a bit confusing.

We appreciated the position and the safe where we could put the Key.

No real people to talk to ...
