Ocean views and breezes await at "Madrid", a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom second floor oceanfront condo. Just steps to the beach, this unit is located in the William and Mary complex in Carolina Beach. Enjoy a day out at the beach then relax in the evening on the deck overlooking the sea.
The living room and kitchen are oceanfront, while both bedrooms are street side. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed, private bathroom and access to the private street side balcony area. The second bedroom is complete with a Queen bed, and the unit also has a sleeper sofa in the living room. Sit outside and breathe in the fresh air on the oceanfront deck which is great for outdoor dining and sunbathing.
"Madrid" is a second floor unit with wonderful views of the Atlantic. An outside shower is located at the rear of the building. There is assigned parking underneath the building for one car and an extra parking space is located in the concrete lot across the street.

Great location, plenty of beach at high tide. Condo was very clean and conveniently located near restaurants and the boardwalk. The ocean view was wonderful!

2nd floor. Had everything you need. Great view and close to beach. Had all the kitchen amenities you needed. The communication from the property management was outstanding—very easy check in and answered questions before we even had them.

We really enjoyed our stay and have even booked it again. The location is spot on for the beach and being on the second floor we were able to see the kids on the beach. It’s also within walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. We cooked meals most nights and there were plenty of items in the cabinets to do that. Foodlion is also very close by. The main road wasn’t load at night and we had no issues with parking. It was also a great location for the Fourth of July with all the fireworks. We also used the “fun” items in the closet like games and folding chairs. We even left some of our own for other guests. My only suggestions to the owner would be to look into an internet extender as we frequently didn’t have internet on the porch and sometimes the living room. Also the sofa could use a good steam clean as we used a sheet on it the entire time because we felt it was cleaner that way. The kitchen chairs could use a back cushion and one needed repair. We sat there a lot for dinners and puzzles. All in all we had a blast and can’t wait to come back next year. Attached our view from the porch!

The area and view were a win for this property. Being able to walk out your door to the beach is a plus. My only suggestions would be to make some additional upgrades. The kitchen had been updated and looked nice. However, the couch in the living room was very broken down, very uncomfortable and not sufficient as a pull out for someone to sleep. The main shower is very small and had little water pressure and the doors would not lock or stay shut. The master shower had a door replaced with a mirror and therefore it was very dark. Paint peeling on the bathroom cabinets and doors were an eyesore. Bed linens are outdated and appeared stained in places. It could use a deep clean as the place smelled as if it had been shut up for a long period of time. Overall, it was a decent place to stay as we did not have plans to spend a lot of time in the unit.
