Heritage house in central location with 2 4-posters, 1 double and 1 twin

The location was impeccable. Decor was very traditional Old English which we loved . It had a very heritage feel. The heating was easy to operate and it became plenty warm enough, even in snow. We loved the roll top bath in the en-suite. There were two living spaces ; one with a large dining table on the ground floor and one on the first floor next to the master bedroom. The second floor housed the remaining three bedrooms and the family bathroom.

There were two bathrooms ( one was en suite ) but only the ‘family’ bathroom had a shower. When we had quick turnarounds, one shower between 7 people was a challenge ! However this was a minor inconvenience given the heritage nature of the property. When we had an issue with the shower however , it was resolved very quickly and the host was super friendly and helpful.

My extended family stayed here when attending my wedding locally and it was ideal for their needs. Loads of space, clean, well equipped and plenty of towels etc. Location in Montgomery was perfect. Would recommend!

The only minor issue was one shower between 7 adults when getting ready for the event, but there is another bathroom with just a bath.

Very clean and spacious Beds were lovely and comfortable House had everything we needed and was warm and cosy

These are only very little suggestions but didn’t impact on our Stay as we loved it and will recommend highly to friends. Minor issues-no obvious info on things like where to put the rubbish. No games for adult only children. The cafetière don’t work well And would have preferred the layout differently ie. Downstairs as a playroom/dining room and second floor reception room as the main lounge area ( with a TV) As I personally found the downstairs sofa uncomfortable and in the evening we had to sit on dining chairs while watching tv.

Rude host.

We went to Montgomery for a wedding and the Colomendy house was the only option available. The house is large with plenty of space, a spacious kitchen and several rooms with 2.5 bathrooms and even a playing area with toys for kids in the living room. It is spacious and it was exciting for our 4 year old to be in a big house with 3 floors and many rooms to explore.

I tried to call the person responsible many times on the phone and did not answer once. It was possible to communicate through the messages in booking.com but a bit impractical. The warm water was not on and the heating was not on the first night. We wanted to take a shower and there was only cold water. We thought that it was an old house and it needed time to warm up. We were also tired from the trip from stockholm to manchester and manchester driving to Montgomery. When I sent the message that we didn't have warm water to the host, they mentioned that someone needed to fix it and they needed to come to the house. I mentioned that i was upset because we did not have warm water and we needed to get ready for the wedding. The host instead of apologising, told me that it was my fault that i didn't mentioned that we did not have warm water before. Their attitude was very rude. They offered an extra night to stay in the last minute when we already had other travel plans.

Period property.

This is an amazing period house. Its very roomy and perfect for a family. The beds were very comfortable, good quality towels and toiletries were supplied.

There was an issue with the hot water, but a gentleman attended and sorted the issue within the hour. We were suitably compensated, There was a wedding at the Town Hall, just over the road. Beautiful but loud music until midnight.

Wonderful location and would thoroughly recommend for groups of family or friends.

Loved the size and location of the property. It was ideal for a weekend away with my family and spouses. Everyone in Montgomery was so friendly and made use feel at home. Eleanor responded to a couple of queries I had really quickly. Lots of useful information about walks around Montgomery

The only slight issue was that although there were 2 bathrooms there was only 1 shower so it was in high demand in the morning! It wasn’t a major problem but just took a bit of organisation amongst the family.

Full of character! Location was perfect. Beds very comfortable. Very good communication with the owner.

Some of the seating wasn't very comfortable and more side lights would have been useful for reading/jigsaw in the evening. (I don't think the toaster is working)

Comfortable, spacious, a view from every window!

Stunning town house right in the centre of the beautiful historic market town of Montgomery. We were a party of 3 families of different ages and we enjoyed every minute.

We brought along a large cool box to ease up the fridge from essentials as we were a large group, apart from that the place was perfect.

Great spacious property in a central location

Large property with plenty of space. Very central location with a local grocery store around the corner. Very comfortable and the basic toiletries; towels and cleaning materials were provided. Also a drying rack available which was great after a day of walking in the rain!

Weak wifi signal which prevented any social media updates. Kitchen only has a small food preparation area.

What a perfect location! The town was idyllic, the house just felt like home. Bed and bedding was clean and comfortable with super soft towels provided. Really well set up for people arriving with children, as toys were provided. Would honestly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area, as I'm struggling to fault it.

This is completely personal to us, as we have two small children, but there are a lot of stairs in the property, so we did have to be careful when letting them roam about. Not a problem, but just a heads up incase any travellers have crazed stair explorers like us! 🤣

Absolutely brilliant

I loved the simplicity of the check in process , i e mailed her about an hour before arrival as i was not sure what time i would arrive , Eleanor the host emailed back instantly to let me know where the keys were ., we had a brilliant time at Colomendy and a fish and chips shop literarily round the corner also added to our joy as my family had been craving fish and chips

internet speed was slow but that isn't down to the property , also we didn't find any outdoor bin to put our refuse in so we had to leave them in bin bags in the kitchen
