Great location, room was great. Big, cosy and warm - massive TV!! Bathroom was lovely too.
Nothing - could do with a small fridge in the room as no bar/restaurant

Such a beautiful place and location.

The bedroom was cosy. Bed very comfy. Yellow room. Very spacious. Quiet. Easy access out to the courtyard. Handy as we brought our whippet. Easy communication with the host. The breakfast was tasty.
The duvet was a little heavy, and could have done with being a little bigger for the bed, but liked that it was down.
The bed had a wooden foot board and not ideal for 6ft5+ people!
The hosts are working hard at renovating the accommodation, and I'm sure with time the parking area may benefit with a little gravel as slightly muddy after lots of rain. However these are very minor issues and would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Great view, clean, comfortable, large rooms
Transport is not available, no option of food at property or nearby

The location, the staff, the room (especially the bathroom facilities).
Only issue was that the room did not have a key, it can be locked from the inside just not when you’re going out. Regardless of this, we still felt very safe. Would be 10/10 just the key situation.

A beautiful house in an amazing setting. I have loved this house for over 20 years and to have the opportunity to stay was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The owners enthusiasm and drive to renovate this property is amazing and I can appreciate how demanding it must be. They should be applauded for all of their hard work so far and for their continued efforts in bringing this property back to life.
The room itself was beautiful and with more co-ordinated furniture and bedding choices plus attention to detail with the finish it could be even better. However I very much appreciate the house is being renovated and as a consequence it’s a work in progress so feel that it’s only to be expected that there will be a few negatives. I very much admire the owners drive and ambition for the hall and gardens and to have the opportunity to stay far outweighed any shortcomings.

An option at some point for various cold and hot breakfasts would be nice - to have in the beautiful conservatory?

We stay in a lot of hotels and have never walked out without staying somewhere- the room was badly renovated and not secure (there was a second door leading to a back staircase we couldn't lock). With no sound proofing you could hear every footstep from the very creaky bare floors, the TV had no signal and the few lights in the room left it far to dark to read. Our room doors were period stripped pine and would offer no time in the event of a fire, nor were there any directions or plan to help oritentate you with the nearest exit which due to the size of the building would be unfindable in an emergency. This isn't a serious (or safe) hotel and should absolutely not be on booking.com

It was lovely to stay somewhere unusual.
The country setting
The historic building
The unique furniture and fittings
The warm welcome
The unique touches of hospitality....

The space was great.
The bed was very good with a very warm covering.
We didn’t have breakfast.
Unfortunately the WiFi and TV were very poor.
There were a number of small practicality issues.

Just wow, excellent furniture and spectacular grounds
It’s apparently haunted but added to the fun

Perfectly as described - stunning, part ruined, gothic mansion, surrounded by rolling hills and wonderful views. Suite was exceptional - very beautiful, huge, with a bathroom to die for! Soooo peaceful.
Nothing really but I stayed alone and only saw someone on arrival - who kindly carried by bag to my suite. At times I felt I was the only one in the house so might not suit lone travellers of a nervous disposition!

As we were travelling by train the location was out of the way and difficult to get there especially since on the day of our arrival all taxis were booked up due to a local wedding.
We were assisted by some lovely locals who drove us to Llanerchydol Hall.
Llanerchydol Hall was quite isolated - there was nowhere to prepare food and there was no fridge in our room - staff were keen to be helpful and we were able to put food in a refrigderator downstairs- just 1 pub a couple of kilometres away.

Fantastic place to stay
We were in the King room-it was beautiful
Only one drawback-being it is an old building-the floor boards creaked upstairs when someone walked across the floor (king room on ground floor)

The property and rooms were absolutely incredible and so comfortable. We parked up and were immediately greeted and shown to our room by a very friendly member of staff, who gave us excellent local recommendations for food. The room itself was beautiful and came with a luxurious bathroom, well stocked hot drinks station and absolutely massive TV. We would absolutely stay here again!

I had a lovely stay here. The breakfast was excellent and brought to me in my bedroom. The room was huge, with a sitting room and extra beds. The bed was huge and very, very comfortable. The shower was powerful and easily controlled. The decor was beautiful, full of character and charm
I couldnt say there was anything I didn't like. I think if you are looking for modern and boring, then this isnt the place for you. Remember this is a building undergoing a sympathetic reconstruction.

This impressive property is being lovingly brought back to life after many years of neglect. Our rooms were large with great views of the country surrounds; the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely new bathroom.
Lighting could be improved (it felt a bit dingy) and we couldn’t get the tv working.

Stunning property, amazing views. The rooms were very big, plenty of room. Recommended a pub for food down the road - The Raven, food was superb! Welcomed by one of the owners who was friendly, showed us our room and shared information we may need. Very helpful. Shame we didn’t have more time to spend here and walk the gardens etc due to work!
Beautiful place!!!
Nothing - the stay was fantastic

The house is stunning !!, The host Mark could not be better, he was very polite and knowledgeable. The rooms were very clean, a lovely place to stay !!
The breakfast is an issue, a cooked breakfast should be on offer, not a cold one in the room. I understand that the house is work in progress, but it would be nice to have a dining room.Mark did say that in the future they would probably offer a cooked breakfast. There was also a bit of a hiccup with the room, but it was all sorted in the end to our advantage !!

Fantastic property, we booked 2 rooms which were simply stunning and massive. For the price we paid for them it was a bargain.
The owner came to meet us, walked us to our rooms and provided some history about the hall.
We would definitely recommend and hope to revisit at some point in the future.

Beautiful location and and views
Cleanliness was awful. Cobwebs everywhere, lots of flies and insects in the room. Floor was dirty, same with toilet (looks to have been used and not cleaned prior to us visiting).

The Hall is a place with real character and to see the work that is going on and yet to come feels a privilege. The room we had (The Slate Room) was huge and the bathroom suite stunning. A very quiet, relaxing place to stay and the personal greeting received made us feel settled very quickly. The Raven pub at the end of the private drive to the Hall is great for food and drink and the walk there and back was lovely.
Nothing to not like.

Stunning location with wonderful views. The Hall is a beautiful hidden gem with stunning spacious bedrooms. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and happy to discuss the Hall's history. The breakfast was perfect for us.

Breakfast was minimal but adequate. They are not set up as a hotel with all amenities but it was fine.
Transportation was a big issue since all the taxis were booked on the days we were there. The owner was kind enough to give us a ride to the train station else we would have been stranded.

We understood the property was being renovated and is in the process of being fixed up. The view was beautiful from the drive and the wildlife and sheep are sweet. They were good recommendations on where to go in town to grab food. The restaurant in town, the Raven, had very good food and drinks at reasonable cost. The local grocery store was also well stocked and had many options. When we first arrived, one of the joint owners met us, showed us to our room and we were asked if we would like some milk for our tea and coffee which was nice. The bathroom was well appointed and the bed, comfortable.
UK is in a heatwave and the room was very hot. A fan would have been a good idea. We ordered breakfast which was £30 ($60 CA) for two bowls of yogurt and granola, two clementines and two pastries. Unfortunately, one of us is gluten-free so we generally don’t expect much and were surprised at what they could offer, however, we were also surprised at the cost. Not quite what we had expected following others’ reviews.
