Lake Front Cabin at Los Elementos

Beautiful grounds and walkable to restaurants . Gracious host and cute pets that visited every day.

We really liked the location and the beautiful garden. The American owners were friendly and happy to answer all our questions. It was lovely to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle.

We were surprised by some aspects of the property as they were not clear from the description eg The bathroom are down outside stairs from the bedroom - chilly at night and you need a torch The window for the shower was completely see through so we had to time showers to avoid the workmen just outside The restaurant mentioned in the description is actually at the next door hotel. It is good but not on site There were 3 dogs at the property. While they were generally friendly, we did have one incident when one of them did not want to let us back through the gate and barked and snarled at us. My daughter is afraid of dogs and a warning that they would be there would have been helpful ie we may have chosen another hotel.

Increíbles instalaciones, muy cómodas y con todo lo necesario para pasar varios días sin necesitar volver a Panajachel. Importante considerar que hay que comprar todo en Pana previamente (el supermarket más cercano queda a 7 min desde el puerto donde salen los botes a Santa Cruz por lo que no es problema) y la cocina de la cabaña está mejor equipada que muchas, cuchillos perfectos y utensilios para cocinar lo que quieras. El baño aunque se encuentra fuera del dormitorio es muy privado. Lee y su esposa nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos en su casa, nos ayudaron con todas las dudas que tuvimos y nos recibieron al llegar.

Al parecer en el entretecho viven algunas ardillas que empiezan a hacer ruidos desde temprano, pero en general es un lugar muy silencioso, lejos del ruido de los pueblos grandes del lago y muy privado.

The hosts are AMAZING! Super helpful and multiple times answered questions via WhatsApp and even brought me leftover dinner when we got in so late. Small gestures that meant the world. The view was amazing and the property is a very cool place. The dogs are adorable and extremely friendly.

The biggest issue is the bathroom…maybe we didn’t read the fine print or look close enough at reviews but we didn’t realize the bedroom and bathroom were separated. To shower or anything you have walk outside down the stairs to the stall door. So the bathroom is completely exposed to the elements and therefore the ants and critters. This was a big surprise and the mirror being slightly broken didn’t help matters. I think if the room was closed off like most bathrooms there would be no problem.
