Perfect location for a family to meet up

Large kitchen table we all gathered around and enjoyed the warmth of the Aga. Great location in Main St. 3 fab delis on doorstep where we bought our prepared evening meals. Tesco and Lidl across the road.

Beautiful property, peaceful surroundings and amazing host

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Surgery. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were so comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area and was within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Michael was an incredible host and the welcome pack he provided was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property, have already told our friends about it and will definitely stay there again.

A house of two halves - exquisitely decorated and maintained front, less so in "servants quarters"

The front of the house was a incredible very luxurious both for reception rooms and the enormous bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathrooms - all furnished with lovely antique furniture The kitchen had an old fashioned kitchen with AGA and large farm kitchen style table which was lovely The enclosed sitting area outside at the back was pleasant to sit in the evening sun.

The two bedrooms in the back of the house were very underwhelming with beds that were small, and a long walk in the night to get to the bathroom. Probably fine if you had kids but not ideal for a group with adults all wanting a similar experience. The back bedroom looking over the carwash and car park had very little privacy. The actual kitchen was off the room with the AGA and was also scruffy with old facilities (Felt like you would expect your aging parents to have!) and not remotely to the standard of the rest of the house - so left you feeling it was an after thought. Finally, there was quite a lot of street noise from the boy racers of Limavady late at night .... not a lot you can do about that, but ....

Exceptional, exceeded expectations in all areas

Great experience right from the start, allowed us access to the property earlier than originally planned and later check out as no other guests that day. Quality of the accommodation and comfortable beds to sleep in. Lots of additional info on surrounding area & some groceries to welcome you on arrival. Will definitely be staying here on future returns and recommend to others

Beautiful large cosy house

Beautiful house,comfortable with brilliant facilities. The host was very welcoming.

The noise from the street outside is very loud with cars going up and down the road all night. I had earplugs so they blocked it most of it.

Limavady delight

Excellent accommodation, perfect location, ideal for exploring this part of Ireland. Photos on website don't really show how good this accommodation is. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday to anyone thinking of it. When we're next back in Ireland we will be definitely be staying here.

August 2021 stay

Property was centrally located with excellent amenities within yards. Aga was amazing with fabulous dining kitchen for socialising. Joan was very friendly and helpful, lovely welcome pack left for us with lots of local produce. Loads of space for our family and friends. Would definitely recommend The Old Surgery for families and friend groups.

WiFi not strong enough and kept dropping out at times. Shower pressure weak but these were small niggles and would not put us off staying here again.

Large , comfortable and attractive property in a central location.

We were out a lot and really only used the kitchen and the bedrooms but the kitchen with the Aga (there is a separate kitchen with a cooker off it) is a wonderful space .

This is purely personal but it is very central so the positives such as excellent access to shops needs to be balanced against the fact it’s on the High street. This isn’t particularly a negative but more something to be aware of.

Enjoyable family stay

Lovely house and decor. Very clean throughout. Soft clean towels and bedding. Private courtyard car park. Aga cooker was brilliant to use. Very homey and comfortable. Extremely convenient location with Lidl and Tesco literally opposite the house within walking distance. Also great location to stay while travelling to attractions nearby. We really enjoyed staying here and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

The front bedroom with the 2 windows facing the main road was louder than expected regarding traffic.

Felt privileged to be staying in such a beautiful property. Three days wasn't long enough.

Very central but quiet. Easy to get to local attractions from Limavady. We went to Derry and Belfast as well as along the coastline. Parking for up to 3 cars. Three car electric chargers nearby which was great for us with a fully electric car. Property was beautifully furnished/decorated. Beds and linen were 5* hotel quality. Substantial welcome pack on arrival meant we had breakfast the next morning without leaving the house.
