Newly renovated houseboat The Waterhouse

A truly wonderful experience! Staying on the water gives you that 'on a boat' feeling, but with a refined touch. The interior is carefully designed with a focus on the finer details. Spotlessly clean and the hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Maybe the downstairs sleeping area could be a little warmer.

Out of the hustle of Amsterdam but still so close to everything. Easy walk into Dam Square and all the surrounding attractions. Very close to public transport. The view from the sliding door which opened out onto the canal. Kitchen had all the gadgets. We made eggs on toast most mornings and heated dinner from Albert Heign most nights! Coffee machine was great and having the small dishwasher lovely! Bed was comfy and we actually slept until 8am most mornings which is late for us! Piano player in the boat next door. The clock chiming in the distance. Too many things to write!

The shower didn’t drain quickly enough so we just used the bath which was fine.

Sofa bed not the most comfortable to sleep on but I believe the owners are planning to have it replaced

Location was good - quiet area and close to tram stop

Downstairs was freezing cold but upstairs was unbearably hot also no hot water upstairs in the sink in the wc but downstairs the shower was boiling. The bath was also not a jacuzzi tub like in the photo on the listing. Check in was also quite late considering we had asked and it was agreed we could be there a bit earlier. The cleaner got there just as we turned up
