The Home Street Residence

Our stay at the property was fantastic. We loved the Scandinavian decor, high ceilings, and overall atmosphere—it was exactly as described, and we truly enjoyed our time there. The location was perfect for us, being close enough to the city center (around a 20-minute walk) and surrounded by lovely coffee shops with delicious treats. We had our baby with us, and the flat provided a travel cot and high chair, which were ideal for our little one. Additionally, it was very convenient being near a bus stop. As mentioned in the description, the staircase could use some refurbishment, but this didn’t impact our stay at all. As soon as you pass the stairs, you enter a bright and welcoming flat. We definitely plan to return!

Location was great, just 5 minute walk to Old Town. Two bedrooms were great for us. Very accommodating host with earlier check in as we arrived to the city very early in the morning.

The entrance from the street is not very obvious but not too bad at all. And the state of it is absolutely fine.

Best location in the city, easy to access all the activities, I stayed with my family and we pretty much walked everywhere from the property. Very convenient to buy anything for food from nearby shops (e.g. Tesco) or a 5 min walk to restaurants. And very close to a park where I had to continue my running training but pretty nice to have some walks or enjoy evening events.

Great location, very central for exploring Edinburgh. Host very available and receptive. We slept well. Photos are a good reflection of the flat.

Don’t be put off by the bare wooden front door on the street!
