Spacious, convenient and well located. Could do with some minor embellishments.

The location was within a short walking distance from the old centre. High ceilings and spacious rooms.

We did not receive the code for the key box and had to call. We were given a wrong code, before the correct one. The key boxes are not numbered and we were only told how to identify it on our second phone call. The entrance hall was very dirty. Bedroom was noisy and cold. The person I interacted with was not friendly and did not understand my enquiry about leaving the keys on departure, as we had forgotten the code given to us over the phone.

Shabby and outdated, in need of a good scrub

The location

Very dirty carpets, entrance way like a prison, very dirty and dark. Poor facilities. Very shabby and dirty decor. Description is misleading. It certainly isn't stunning

It was short & sweet, I would stay again if there was a group of us.

Easy communication to collect the keys to the property, very clean, spacious. It had everything you needed whilst we were there, the rooms are so large and spacious, it was great for our 8 month old crawling around everywhere.

The poor lighting was awful in the bedrooms, and there was hardly any mirrors to get ready in. As a family of 6 with two teenage daughters and myself with a wedding to get ready for it really wasn’t great. Secondly the access to the flat was so hard, especially with a pram. The stone spiral staircase up two floors was horrendous, carting everything up and down was really hard and there is no lift so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or for full wheelchair bound people. More awareness should be noted on the listing about this.

The steps and stairways up and hallways, the safety, the noise through the windows, the cleanliness, the tiredness and basic essentials the “stunning apartment” is probably irking it is far from stunning.

The inside of the flat was lovely but the entrance and stairs could have been better

Unclean and disappointing

Plenty of space in the apartment

It wasn’t really very clean, lock broke off the bathroom door. The shower was impossible to regulate. The traffic outside was so noisy till about 2am. The stairs going up to the property and the landing areas were extremely filthy and covered in cobwebs it looked untouched for about 10 years. Very disappointing for the price we paid would definitely not book again or recommend.

It was fine but we had to hold our breath in the hall and stairs of the building.

Facilities, comfort and location

Hall and stairs were very smelly - flat was fine. Not tea or coffee so bought some and put in cupboard. Windows didn’t shut properly so very loud at night. Curtains let lots of light through. Would recommend the Q-Park Capital Square car park which was less than 5 min walk away, secure underground car park (cheaper than some). If staying it’s the key safe with a pink gem on it, not a red star which is what the host said).

Clean, functional and in a good location.

Close to where we wanted to be. Roomy on the inside with plenty of space in the bedrooms. Functional kitchen.

Two flights of stairs to arrive. The staircase was quite worn and a little slippery, we were a bit concerned about my older mother who walks with a walking stick.

Great apartment, bad communal area.

The apartment itself was well equipped, comfortable and conveniently located.

The spiral stairs leading to the apartment weren't very secure, as they were worn. The smell in the communal airway was undealable. This was either rotting food, or a dead animal or something. It was so bad we all would run up and down the stairs to get through it quickly, I was sick three times and a few of the others gagging and retching. Absolutely awful. Over the two nights the smell started to come into the apartment. It was unbearable.

This property cost £400+ for one night. I expected 5* luxury but it was absolutely dreadful

Nothing, it was awful

The standard of the apartment was extremely poor. The bedding, towels etc were very old and mismatched. The decoration throughout is very shabby. There is only seating for 4 people max on an old L-shaped sofa although the apartment claims to sleep up to 8 people. The TV did not work and there was no hot water. When I contacted the owner they were very rude. I then received a text from the owners stating that they would issue a non-specified refund but that hasn't been received. I am disgusted that this property is advertised as 'stunning'. It is nothing of the sort. This spoiled our visit to Edinburgh. I would not book another property managed by travelnest.com after this awful experience

The property was in the perfect location for our needs and was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was warm and fresh and clean with attractive extra touches such as colourful towels and vases of flowers and complimentery soaps and coffee sugar supplies. There are several convenience stores in the street below and restaurants and cafes. Very close to Usher Hall and very easy walk to castle, royal mile and grass market areas

Central location but not stunning

Central location to castle and shopping.

No free parking anywhere nearby as advertised. The apartment was tidy but cleaning needs attention to detail. Finger marks over doors and dirty skirting boards. It sleeps eight but does not sit eight - dining table for four and only one small sofa. Mismatch bedding with a a valance bed base cover used as a sheet. Limited contact from owner with no information provided until the day you check in. I asked for postcode early to plan and was given incorrect information.

Wasn’t clean enough, bathroom needed modernised, shower was rubbish and the toilet didn’t work. Tv only had 3 channels and internet was so slow.

desgraciadament horrible i asquerosa

Em va semblar un lloc pèssim per el preu que ens van fer pagar: hi havia pols tot arreu de les instalacions, la cuina estava feta una merda i no vam poder menjar el nostre sopar fet per les paelles perquè la part negre de la paella saltejava i era inhumà menjar-se qualsevol cosa feta en aquella cuina. A més a més la neteja era inexistent i al dormir vaig trobar taques marrons per a tot el sofà a més de ja tenir uns coixins fets pols per poder dormir. Resumint, ens van estafar i espero que ningú més hagi de passar per aquest apartament mai més.

Topp beliggenhet, men sjuskete leilighet.

Veldig sentral beliggenhet og fint med kodelås for å komme inn i bygningen.

Oppgangen var mørk og skitten. Bildene av leiligheten var mye bedre enn virkeligheten. Det var dyrt i forhold til hva vi fikk. Alt virket litt sjuskete.
