Really comftable bed and some nice extras in the room

I booked the single room not releasing the toilet was on a different floor, it wasn’t a bad thing I just wasn’t aware before I got there

Very clean and comfortable and the owner was a big help with parking

Everything! Huge room, very comfortable, mini fridge included, fantastic views and just a short walk into town

Parking! The venue does provide vouchers for free street parking near the property, but we unwittingly found ourselves staying during a Steampunk weekend in the town and everywhere was rammed. We paid for parking in a carpark at the other end of the street which was fine.

I made the booking through Booking.com, the hotel was ran by a couple Mark and Lyn, who were both a charming couple, and helpful and understanding of our problem. The hotel was nice and clean and in a quiet area yet only a short walk from the harbour When i was looking for accommodation i looked under "Breakfast included" and this hotel came up, however upon booking i then discovered that Breakfast wasn't served at that hotel at all and he hadn't served breakfast there in the last 6 yrs. I also learned that cancellation was not possible unless you lost the whole of the payment, Added to that i then discovered we were on the top floor having booked a room with a sea view which was especially problematic as both my partner and myself are in our 70s and both of us suffer from arthritis in our knees and hips and classed as disabled , so the 40 plus stairs were difficult to say the least as theres no lift to get there, so if you're bad on your legs dont book a room with a sea view

I couldnt fault the host and hostess at all, however if the information relating to the hotel on booking.com had mentioned the 40 plus stairs and steps to climb to get to the room and also if it had been made abundantly clear, before making a reservation that breakfast wasnt included, we would have definitely looked elsewhere, The on street parking was a bit of a bind as well as again, due to my lack of mobility, no guarantee of parking outside made it more difficult to access the hotel if parking was full close by, this is the second time a description of a hotel on Booking.com had been a little shy with the truth, so a word of warning read every detail twice before you book with booking.com
