La Musa di via Dante

Amazing location just a couple minutes walk from the Duomo. Apartment was very spacious in the living room with comfy couches and a smart TV. Full kitchen was nice as well. Great view of Brunelleschi’s Dome outside the kitchen window! The AC worked amazing to cool down the entire apartment.

The layout of the apartment is odd, to get to the primary bedroom you need to walk through the second bedroom (so 0 privacy for a 2 bedroom). The second bedroom also does not have any working outlets or a mirror. The apartment is up 4 flights of stairs with no lift (we knew this going in, but my 60 year old parents still struggled a bit at the end of a long day). The host was a little rude, we originally booked for 2 people and then had a last minute addition to make it 3 people, when we sent our documents to the host he made us pay an extra €90 for the 3rd person (even though the apartment sleeps up to 4 and no extra services are included that would warrant that large of a charge). The bathroom was tiny and poorly designed, plus only one single serve packet of shampoo provided for toiletries. No other toiletries provided, not even hand soap for the sink. A washer machine is listed in the ad, but when we got there it was broken and unable to be used. In the kitchen there were tons of ants, we had to store our snacks inside a metal pot with the lid so they wouldnt get in. There were also multiple cockroaches in the stairway leading up to the apartment but we didnt see any inside the apartment itself.

The apartment is clean, very spacious! The shower could feel a little tight, but not bad at all. The area is the best thing you can ask for, we were able to explore the whole city walking, very close to Santa Maria di Fiore. Because it's on the 4th floor, it's quiet so you can expect a good night of sleep. There was a couple of personal hygiene items (shampoo and shower gel) that can become handy for the first day in case you didn't bring your own. Fresh clean towels as well. Hair dryer. Smart TV! The kitchen has all you need in case you plan on cooking. I was able to enter really quick, didn't have to wait at all. The instructions were also very clear. The apartment felt fresh and clean when we entered. *As you may know already, the streets in Florence (and I guess in Italy) are cobblestone, so if you carry lugagge that you have to roll/drag, I'd recommend paying a taxi to get here from the train station and / or airport, the streets could make your luggage break by the time you get to the apartment.

The 4 flights of stairs lol! But just because we had big pieces of luggage so it was a challenge to bring them up.

The location was great. quite central to a lot of attractions.

We pick this property specifically for some of the added extras it included namely the washing machine.as this was the midpoint of our journey around Italy However, it was out of order when we arrived, very disappointing, And cost us extra to find somewhere to wash our cloths, we didn't need spend if we where informed prior!!
