Fantastic stay

Location was great to visit Hay-on-Wye, Room comfortable and warm with plenty of room and storage, Good size bathroom with excellent shower, and nice touch leaving the welsh cakes, will definitely stay again if visiting Hay-on-Wye in the future.

Lovely flat, ideal for our short stay

Spotlessly clean flat in an excellent location, and well equipped for most purposes. The Welsh cakes and milk, tea and sugar were a nice touch. Ideal for a two night stay. Close to the beautiful river walk which brings you out in the top of town, then on to explore the bookshops. Shame we didn't get to meet Dawn.

The only negative thing was the bed. It was very soft, and although quite comfortable it left us with a bit of a backache.

It would have been helpful to have known the Flat Number as well as the name of the flat. On arrival we didn’t know which space to park in and although the instructions said green door to the right it would have been good to know it was flat 1.

Wonderful little flat

Perfect location for visiting the area. Very clean and comfortable. Great size for a solo traveler. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s a minor complaint but could have done with a few more hangers, especially for skirts without loops.

Had a wonderful time in Hay On Wye.

It is totally self catering, a nice touch is Welsh Cakes and milk are left by the host. The location is excellent, once you get there your car is no longer needed as the town of Hay and walks by the river Wye, restaurants and cafes are all in walking distance.

Wonderfully bookish stay!

We loved everything! The location is perfect, just a very short walk into the town centre so it made it very easy for us to pop back, drop off our first round of book purchases and head back out for more! We had a lovely walk along the river too - which is just a short distance away. The Welsh cakes left for us on arrival were a very cute and welcome gesture, and we enjoyed them with a nice cup of tea on arrival! Thank you. The bed is soft and comfortable - we've had two very pleasant nights of sleep. We will definitely return to book here if we find ourselves visiting Hay again (which I very much hope to do once I get through this visits book purchases! 😊)

Our only slight criticism was the shower not being very powerful (even on the boost option) but that's just our preference and really isn't something that would stop us returning in the future!

The flat was lovely and bright...it was very clean...the bed was comfortable...the shower was great and it had all the amenities we needed. The location for Hay-on-Wye was ideal and it was an added bonus to have our own parking space.

An excellent place to stay for one or two people.

Very clean and comfortable. It's very compact. It's in a quiet cul-de-sac but handy for the town (about a 5 minute walk) and walks along the river. The owner and housekeeper were very helpful.

The front door is quite stiff to open and a bit difficult to lock. The microwave is a bit complicated!

Great location with parking right outside; Ideal for a short stay in Hay on Wye. Easy walk to town and easy to get in and out by car...just make sure you follow instructions to property carefully. Had everything we needed in terms of amenities.

The pictures don't give the proper justice. Very nice space and a great location. The host went the extra mile. The room is spacious and quiet, parking was easy and a short walk to the main town. All in all highly recommended.

Perfect place in an amazing town

Clear instructions given re where and how to find the lock box/key safe. Responsive host from booking up post visit. We'll thought out accommodation, providing all needed for a stay away from home. Providing milk and some Welsh cakes was a lovely gesture.

Perfect place for a short staya in Hay

location is just right. everything spotless and ready to use

i found the door hard to lock so I had to leave the flat open the little sink in the bathroom was a bit awkward - minor detail. the towels could probably have used a longer hotter wash - minor detail I hadnt used a lock box before and found it hard and needed help the smoke alarm went off, alarmingly, but the hosts dealt with it quickly and efficiently
