Great place to stay in a lovely town.

Bernay is a lovely medieval town to visit. Helene is a great host, very friendly and she altered our sleeping arrangements at short notice which was very welcome. The accommodation is great and the secure car parking was really appreciated, A large supermarket close by is very handy. We were in Bernay for one night on a Monday, so the town was very quiet with not many options for food and drink, but on other days I'm sure it has lots of bars and restaurants open. We had a nice meal in Carpe Diem. We will visit again to break up the journey when travelling to our friends in Palluau-sur-Indre. Many thanks Helene!

Le Petit provided just what I wanted. It is comfortable, convenient and value for momey.

Electric shutters on windows for added security. Off road parking with an electronic key for the security gates. Easy to use shower with plenty of hot water. Double glazing means it is relatively quiet inside. Five minutes walk to Gare de Bernay for through trains to Caen, Rouen and Paris. Local buses stop right outside. Ten minutes walk to town centre. Supermarket literally over the road but not noisy as main car park is round the other side. Petrol station attached to supermarket. Some complimentary groceries to start ie. bottled water, fresh orange, milk, margarine etc. Helen, the host, is very helpful and always smiling.

Some of the heating is difficult to operate as there are either no instructions or obscure pictograms. Could not work out how to use stovetop. Short on cooking facilities. Missed having a comfy armchair. Sofa was a little low for me.

Well equipped appt close to centre of Bernay. Host very welcoming. Lovely private terrace for al fresco meals.

Staircase to upper floor was a bit precarious but manageable.

For host help, price, location,, laundry, supermarket, and genealogy research locally - the BEST!

The host was exceptional and we could not have had a better one.

As older folks (70's) the narrow staircase to the bedroom upstairs was just a little difficult. It wouldn't be so for younger folks. Bed comfort is a hit & miss for us. The downstairs bed is a couch foldout futon. It was a bit hard but made much better by putting down extra comforters supplied before sheeting.

Excellent place to stay as a family and a wonderful host

Spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. Lots of character. Lots of thoughtful touches including kids games and toys. Wonderfully welcoming host who couldn't do enough to help (she even gave us sea sickness tablets for the rough ferry crossing). Lovely outdoor seating area to eat. We stopped over after a camping trip in the south of France on the way back to dieppe. The place was excellently placed near the main road but would have also made a great place to stay to explore Bernay and surrounding area.

That we had to leave for the ferry and couldn't stay longer! We would have liked to see more of Bernay which seemed beautiful.

Zeer vriendelijke host, ze legde alles goed uit, had prima tips om naar toe te gaan. Mooie, compacte woning. Duidelijk historische kenmerken, zoals hele dikke muren, balken en een prachtige oude handgemaakte trap.

Logement parfait pour un séjour de quelques jours en famille de 4 personnes.

Accueil charmant et très humain plein de petites attentions fort agréables (boissons, activités enfants, etc.). Le tout inclus : pas de ménage ou autre. Stationnement dans la propriété. Supermarché/Cinéma/restauration en face. Gare à quelques centaines de mètres. Centre Ville accessible à pied un peu plus loin.

Les chauffages électriques (comme souvent dans ce type de logement) qui peinent un peu à réchauffer le logement qui était peut-être inoccupé pendant les quelques jours précédents mais cela n'a rien de critique.
