Except for the bathroom, overall the experience was good.

The property was beautiful and in a good location. Staff were polite. Food was very yummy.

The shower was open and made the whole bathroom got wet every time it was used.

We enjoyed our stay and the service very much.

The location is perfect for exploring Polanco and surrounding area. The bed was very comfortable and made with nice linens. The toiletries were nice as well. We Loved our patio and robes.

We thought the breakfast “OK”. Tended to use nearby cafes. The water in the shower could have been hotter.

Its charming, cozy and well located, very safe,

The place it’s a 5 star and doesn’t offer a good hairdryer and bottle water I had diarrhoea everyday. Also they don’t put a gluten free option of breakfast o had to ask for a change because they wanted to charge me. On my arrival they wanted me to carry my luggage’s up the stairs to the room. Absolutely non sense and I have a bad back problem. The tours I asked them to book was at least 5x more than the tours booked by booking or other places

The staff and overall stay was lovely. When we brought up small issues they responded quickly!

The free breakfast was delicious. You get granola, yogurt, fruit and a sweet bread. Additionally coffee and juice. The restaurant downstairs offers additional dishes for extra charge, every dish we had extra was really good.

There were two things that were slightly disappointing. Our room had a slight smell the whole time and was quite humid. I think this is because we were above the restaurant. I would ask and make sure you are on the second or third floor and not near the restaurant and a room with a high ceiling. Because our room had a low ceiling, it was damper and the plaster was peeling some. You can tell that the older building was giving the staff some maintenance grief. It is a beautiful building.

It was very beautiful and comfortable. It was also quiet after being in the busy city. Very good restaurant!

It would have been nice to have some screens on the windows to keep out mosquitoes.

Stay if you like only sweet breakfast

Night desk staff really nice and helpful. Beautiful bathroom. Great location.

Breakfast was very slow (20 mins to serve) even though it only had one option (sweet bread, fruits Americano coffee and juice). Does not include any savory dishes or strong coffee. The room was a weird triangle shape. Unused face towel was dirty. Complained to front desk. Morning hostess did not apologize but said it would be changed. Next day the towels were changed but dirty again.

Nice Hotel, making it ideal for city exploration and a pleasant stay.

Friendly hotel boasts an excellent location and a staff dedicated to making your stay exceptional.

For future stays, providing a desk or dedicated workspace in the room would be highly valuable for guests. While the restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, a quieter alternative for concentrated work would be appreciated. The "standard" breakfast was enjoyable, and I kindly suggest include hot food choices beyond coffee and pastries.

I recently stayed at the Orchid House and found that the experience did not meet expectations for the rate charged. The first room I was assigned appeared to be a repurposed space—possibly previously used as a staff room. The door was noticeably smaller than those of the other guest rooms, and its proximity to the entrance and reception area made it difficult to rest due to constant noise from staff and guests. I was relocated the following night, which I appreciated, but the second room had its own issues: poor blackout coverage allowed light in throughout the night, the water pressure was inconsistent, and the in-room amenities felt minimal and not in line with the boutique branding. Additionally, at checkout, there was an unexpected and uncomfortable push to include a staff tip, which seemed out of place considering the overall experience. While the property has charm, the attention to comfort and guest experience did not justify the premium pricing.

The building is beautiful, great location

The room was TOO small for a family of 4, there is not space for luggage, the breakfast is ok, no big deal, and the staff are not friendly.....it is not worthy for the price. We ordered an smoothie and we receive a plate of fruits.

Great staff, stunning property and amazing location. Literally best breakfast I’ve ever had, dishes are pre-selected but absolutely delicious.

My shower wasn’t working properly nor the AC. These issues shouldn’t happen at this price point but in all fairness I only mentioned it to the staff at my checkout.

Location is perfect.

Breakfast which is included is not what you might expect from this price range (260$/night). Its sober and for an omelet you need to pay extra. Rooms are nicely decorated but very noisy. Reception which is located in the main hall is heard inside the room (number 2) The whole hotel need some TLC. Its messy and in need of a clean up. Automatic response will follow on my review but I'm wondering if the managers read any of these comments....
