Kate’s Rest as always is the perfect place to stay. Not too far away from the main motorway.
It has well equipped kitchens, fresh linen and the rooms are spacious, plenty of hot water, comfy beds and pillows.
There are also the basic essentials like tea, coffee, sugar milk etc...
We have stayed there a few times now as it’s so peaceful and we will certainly come back again for sure. The hosts are always very friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

The hosts were friendly and responded promptly to any concerns.
Bathroom was a little run down and I water from the shower was hard to contain within the small space.
Was in need of a dust.

This property is out in the country, about 45 minutes from Kilkenny town, which reflects in the very reasonable cost. It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable, with cooking facilities.
The property is a bit run down, would benefit from a paint and clean. It was not a problem but there was not the traditional cooked breakfast offered at other properties. Breakfast was self serve cereal and toast, tea, coffee and juice.
