This third floor property has views from the highest point at Hanalei Bay Resort of Mt. Namolokama and its spectacular waterfalls, Hanalei Bay, lava rock pool and hot tub, second pool with barbecue area and full beachoutdoor kitchen, 6 newly resurfaced tennis courts, 4 asphalt and 2 synthetic grass, 4 Pickle ball courts, all on 20 tropical acres. The condo includes oversized lanai with lounge chair, table and 2 chairs. Serta comfort 5000F Memory Foam King Size bed, full bath with pedestal sink, under counter refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, utensils, glasses, dishes are included with breakfast bar. There are no cooking facilities or microwave in the condo. A full kitchen is available at the lower pool along with 3 locations of gas grills for cooking. Remote controlled A/C, 18 foot cathedral ceiling with fan. Solid mahogany armoire with 40 inch flat screen TV, ROKU streaming capability for use with your Streaming apps, Bluetooth Sound Bar for steaming music and radio from your mobile device or computer, secure Wi-Fi, 6 drawer dresser. Tommy Bahama beach chairs, grass beach mats, beach umbrella, boogie boards are provided in the condo. Overall experience with booking, checking in and checking out with smooth. The view from the Lanai is gorgeous. The comfort of the bed you feel like you’re sleeping on clouds. Dave had it all hairdryer, iron, beach equipment. Due to the restaurant at the resort parking in the evening can get crazy, but don’t worry the valet will find you a spot. The beach access isn’t super close (within walking distance) but it’s still very convenient. All you need to do is call the front desk and the golf cart will pick you up and take you down the hill to the beach, which is a beautiful beach. The grounds at the resort are beautiful with breathtaking views everywhere. And don’t forget to watch the sunset on the grass area by the top tennis court.

The views were as advertised, exceptional. Many units do not face the bay or high enough to see over other units, shrubs, etc. For 2 people, this was a nice unit in an upscale area of Kauai. 2 restaurants onsite, easy access (concierge) access to the beach and flat enough to take morning walks.A few things we did not like: This unit is on the 3rd floor. Not obvious in the description so if you have issues with 3 flights of stairs, this is going to be an issue. The unit is old and dated. Functional but no microwave, no dishwasher (although there are plenty of glasses and dishware) and the only sink was in the bathroom that had NO counter space. We really had an issue with the lack of a grab bar as the only shower is inside a standard tub a big step over for seniors. As seniors, we would not rent this unit. Lastly, the lights were dim and dirty... you know, that dust and dead insects inside the globes. As for insects, none.
