Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave!

Accommodating up to 6 people, this unit is the perfect place to spend your vacation in paradise! Re-roofed in 2025, two spacious lanais offer a beautiful space to start your day or to unwind at the end, with incredible views of the majestic mountains and surrounding foliage. The full kitchen is super convenient to prepare inexpensive meals and the in-unit washer and dryer is an added bonus. This lovely condo offers garden and mountain views with remarkable waterfalls and rainbows, stunning sunsets and more. The property was bigger than the photos look. It looks like 2 adjoining hotel rooms but they are much bigger than hotel rooms. There was plenty of space for my family of 5. It was closer to parking than other units and close to the restaurant and lobby so that was nice. You do have to call the golf cart for a 15 minute wait to go anywhere you need a ride, but walking is not bad either if you don’t have a bunch of stuff to carry.

First time at this unit but not our first at HBR. I like this unit's location, very quiet and overlooking jungle. Some may prefer an ocean view but other parts of the resort are busier and this is secluded. HBR is a great spot with a nice pool and a walkable beach. The beach is sandy and you can find shade or sun, the water is mostly reef but some sand to be found. Pizza place at this resort is good too, not many food options in Princeville but this one is good. Place was well stocked to cook and with beach gear. Only real downside is we got a lot of automated texts from the property manager saying to reply back with any issues yet they didn't respond to the issues we had. Check in and check out were easy though, and HBR does have a hospitality room so for the 10am checkout you can leave stuff in there if your flight or other lodging isn't until later in the day, nice bonus.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time to Kauai and heard good things about this resort. We rented 2 spaces right next to each other and when we arrived, we were greeted by cockroaches!! There was a mildew smell and every cabinet you opened you can smell the chemical Raid used to kill these nasty pests. We encountered at least 3-4 cockroaches per day. We were afraid to leave anything out - even worried about leaving our suitcases open! The space was much smaller than expected and the resort, overall, is a bit older. We did enjoy the fact that the customer service was on point, everyone was extremely nice. We probably would return to Kauai but not to this resort.
