The apartment is a great value and within easy walking distance of the beach

I booked this apartment only a few days before our trip, initially for four people, as one of our dear friends was traveling with my wife, my son and I. She ended up bringing her adult daughter, so we were five people. Honestly I chose this apartment because it indicated the sleeping arrangements involved three people could sleep in one room and one or two in the other. I informed the contact of the additional person once we embarked on our trip (which included a three day stay in the mountains before our arrival in Velipoje), and he assured me that this would not be a problem as the apartment was designed to sleep five people. Due to some car problems we had to change our arrival time to several hours earlier (on short notice). Our host was very accommodating and responsive, and made sure that someone from his family was able to give us the key within minutes of our arrival. He also allowed us to use his private washing machine to wash some of our clothes and brought us a fan when I requested one because the main room (where the kitchen and bunk bed are located) was very hot during the day and in the evening (it was mid-August when we stayed at the location). The host also was very quick to respond to any other questions I had. I understand that the apartment is designed for one family or a group of friends. As we were (as it were) two families, we kept the door between the bedroom and main room shut at night, which meant that our friends had a much hotter room to sleep in than we did. The a/c in the bedroom would have been sufficient to cool off the other room as well, had we left the door open, but we did not do that for privacy reasons. Honestly, this is the only thing that kept this from being a 10 review (my wife felt bad for our friends because the main room was so hot, even with the balcony door open). Everything else was excellent about the apartment and we would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.
