If you’re looking for a private and peaceful getaway, nestled among the rolling hills, an escape from the city, Welcome to Johanna Meadows where guests can relax and enjoy the country life.
Overlooking the rolling hills and meadows of Johanna and the natural forest on the property is this 2 bedroom cottage. A modern well appointed home that sleeps up to 4.
Bedroom 1 has a Queen size Bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 long singles.
You can hear the sounds of the ocean just a short 3.5km away at Johanna Beach. Stroll along the sandy shores and watch the stunning sunset over the water. If fishing is your thing you might just like to drop in a line and catch a fish or 2. For those who like a slower pace you can laze away on the day bed as the morning sun fills the whole house with its golden rays.Relax in the living area whilst watching TV/DVD or simply take in the peaceful outlook of the meadows and rolling hills. This 12 acre property has its own forest filled with fern gullies. Take a short stroll along the tracks through the majestic tall timbers. At the end of the day relax and enjoy a BBQ with a glass of your favourite drink. Or just cuddle up next to the warmth of the wood fire in cooler months.
The property is situated just 1 klm off the famous Great Ocean Road. It is ideally located, giving you easy access to many Otway attractions, The Otway Fly, Maits Rest,Melba Gully, Otway Light House, Castle Cove, Triplet falls, just to name a few. The Great Ocean Walk meanders along Johanna Beach, the 12 Apostles are a short 45min drive away and the coastal town of Apollo Bay is a 30min drive.
Bush or beach, relax or explore its up to you. Do as much or as little as you like.

Anna and Branko are amazingly outstanding hosts. Their attention to details in their cottage is exceptional. They are very generous with their supplies in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bedrooms and their fireplace. Cookies, chocolates and a loaf of freshly baked bread awaited us when we checked in. They also shared with us their own organic honey from their bee hives and lemons/limes from their property. They were very clear in their instructions to their property and for check in/out. Johanna Meadows is a beautiful, cosy and very comfortable & clean cottage in a serene, quiet and beautiful setting. The best self contained accommodation we have ever stayed at, here in Australia and overseas. We were walking the Great Ocean Road walking trail and we picked Johanna Meadows as our base because it is literally right in the middle of the walking trail, 30 minutes to Apollo Bay, the starting point of the trail, 40 minutes to the 12 Apostles, the ending point of the trail, with Cape Otway Lighthouse, Aire River, Johanna Beach, The Gable Lookout, Wreck Beach, and the Devil's Kitchen in between. Anna and Branko were very kind to agree to look out for us each day to ensure we returned to base at the end of each walking day. The cottage is only up the road from Johanna Beach and around 20 minutes to The Perch in Laver's Hill, an amazing place for good food and excellent service. Thank you Anna and Branko for another lovely sojourn at beautiful Joanna Meadows. You are both wonderful and thoughtful hosts. As always, the cottage felt so welcoming. It is obviously well-loved and cared for. Some yummy treats on arrival. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfortable sofas and beds including quality bedding. I enjoyed cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. Relaxing on the daybed either reading, looking out over the hills or watching for wildlife to come out of the forest. Although midwinter, I was warm and cosy inside thanks to the very effective wood heater. I loved listening to the birds, the wind in the trees and the Great Southern Ocean in the distance. Johanna Beach and part of the Great Ocean Walk are just a few minutes drive away. It was so quiet and peaceful here. The perfect place to just relax and soothe the soul.

We had a wonderful time staying at this gorgeous cottage that immediately felt like home. Beautifully styled home that is filled with lots of care and everything you would need for a comfortable stay.Anna and Branko made us feel at home, they treated us with a special gesture and checked in to ensure our stay is good. All we can say is thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Hope to visit again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Johanna meadows. The house was very clean and comfortable and included everything you might need and more. The property is beautifully kept and the secret forrest trails were an amazing bonus! Thank you A&B
