    We chose this hotel to celebrate my daughter’s 17th birthday, expecting a special experience based on our previous stay about two years ago. At that time, The Thompson was one of the best hotels we had ever stayed at, which made this visit incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the experience was lackluster. There was no one there to greet us, and the hotel employees we did encounter were rude and unwelcoming. At one point, they wouldn’t even open the door for us, which set the tone for the entire stay. What should have been a memorable birthday weekend turned into frustration and disappointment. The level of service and hospitality was nowhere near what we remembered or expected from this hotel. Unfortunately, we left feeling very unsatisfied and would not choose to stay here again.
