    The staff was great, check‑in was easy, and the valet was quick. The location was also very convenient. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any sleep because extremely loud cars were racing by all night. I travel often, and it genuinely felt like trying to sleep at a drag strip. The hotel team was wonderful, but the noise made the stay very difficult.

    The Tennessean is perfect for couples and families with teens. Well appointed but most importantly the best customer service. Every staff person was helpful and pleasant.

    I will start with the good: Friendly front desk and valet. Big rooms and bright. Great Central location for downtown area. The ok: my shower was not very clean. There were some light red-pink on the edge of the shower. This happens when mold is starting to form. I informed the front desk and they alerted housekeeping. I never felt very clean while taking a shower because of it. It's not a deal breaker, but I didn't like it. I also did not like being charged an "urban tax" without being informed. It's was an added $20.00 per night for using their complementary car service drop off. Also, in a room for 4 people, there was only 1 bottle of water in the fridge. I stayed in their double King room.

    If you’re planning to spend a good deal of time at convention center, it’s great- right across the street. If planning to spend more time around market square and gay street it’s an uphill walk to get there from here. They provide shuttle within 3 mile which would cover market/gay street as well as neyland stadium and riverfront. Shares a common area for gathering and restaurant with the Marriott
