the hotel was perfect for my short and fist visit to Lausanne. Great shower, clean room and a good location to walk out to restaurants, parks and shopping. What stood out, was the check in - i had misplaced my passport which made be stressed. The reception agent, was calm, accepted my drivers license and even offered to contact my previous hotel to see if I left my passport there. This is what hospitality should feel like. THANK YOU, I recommend.

While the physical aspects of the Hotel Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind are perfectly fine, the rooms are clean and the overall quality of the facilities is good, my experience was completely overshadowed by the staff. I have stayed at Fassbind hotels many times in the past, but this visit will be my last. I encountered the most unfriendly reception I have ever experienced. The staff was not just rude; their behavior felt borderline intrusive and aggressive. It was a shocking departure from the hospitality one expects, especially as a returning customer. Even more disappointing was the lack of resolution. The team at Booking Agentur was exemplary and tried their best to mediate the situation, but they essentially "hit a brick wall". The reception remained completely uncooperative and dismissive. Due to this treatment, I will be avoiding the entire Fassbind chain in the future. There are plenty of great places to stay in Lausanne where guests are actually treated with respect.

It was a great place to stay. I really enjoyed this hotel. The only thing is I could hear the room next door, so soundproofing was not the best, but a part from that it was a really pleasant stay.
