    Perfect location that is near the famed pho viet! Very near Ben thah market too if u are looking at some last minute shopping. Staff was really friendly and room was cozy. Only thing that could be improved was the area to hang ur towels in the bathroom and that the airconditioning could be colderb

    Hotel room was small. Staff were good and professional. Hotel had a nice pool with stairs, steam room and sauna. Breakfast was good. Hotel had two entrances.

    Rating: 5/10 I have mixed feelings about this hotel. While it is centrally located and the rooms are "adequate" in terms of cleanliness, I cannot recommend it based on the value for money. We booked a 50 sq meter family room for 3 people, but it felt surprisingly cramped for that size. The major drawback, however, is the bathroom. It only has a bathtub with a handheld shower, no separate standing shower. You have to climb into a rather tall tub to shower, which is completely unacceptable for anyone over a certain age or with mobility issues—especially at this price point. Speaking of price, this was the highest rate we paid during our month-long trip across Vietnam, and we stayed in several 4 and 5-star properties. The rates here were roughly 40% higher than comparable hotels, yet the accommodation didn't match up. The "free minibar" gimmick was also misleading. We found it empty other than the standard 1 bottle of water per guest (which every hotel in Vietnam provides) and two bottles of iced tea. No soft drinks, no snacks—so I’m not sure what the "freebie" actually was. Finally, the food and beverage services are vastly overpriced. The restaurant (Smith's Kitchen on the 12th floor) charges US prices—a simple soda water was almost $4. That is extreme for Vietnam. Overall, the location is the only real perk. During my trip, I learned that Vietnam has wonderful 4 and 5-star hotels that offer far better value for your money. Unfortunately, Silverland Ben Thanh is not one of them.
