I stayed at Shihlin Metro Yes and found the experience to be functional but largely unremarkable. Prior to arrival, the hotel had sent an early check-in form to Agoda. Unfortunately, this was not forwarded to us, which resulted in unnecessary confusion and inconvenience upon arrival.
The hotel operates without a physical check-in counter. All check-in procedures are handled virtually through the LINE app. While this may suit some travelers, it can be problematic for others, particularly as LINE may require phone number registration and may not be readily accessible to all international guests. Communication was also not prompt. I had to sit at a Starbucks opposite the property and wait for a response before I could proceed.
Finding the hotel entrance was another challenge. The entry point is not obvious, and for guests who do not read Chinese, locating the property may be difficult without prior familiarity or careful navigation.
Other than its reasonable pricing and strategic location near Shilin, there is little else that stands out about this motel. It may serve as a basic accommodation option for budget-conscious travelers who are comfortable with app-based check-in and minimal on-site support, but expectations should be kept modest.
